Break it down into its pieces its easy to digest, its about how you define the word Champion, how people have different meanings for the same word, funny thing about forums you can argue like cat and dog and actually be arguing about terminology and perspective. He said Davis is not a champion, Im saying in my definition of the word he is.

So..if I believe a boxer with 15 losses fought his heart out in all those loses and never won a belt is a champion, then he's a champion?

No its not about effort its about ability, if a fighters ability blows away top class competition he is a champion fighter, its all about the ability and class to get in, its not defining the career, after the ability you start adding up trophies its two different things that can be described under the same heading.

          Dictionary definition

a person who has surpassed all rivals in a sporting contest or other competition.

Look up the definition of the word champion. It's something you can only win in the ring, and there can only be one in any given division. It has never been Gervonta Davis. Period.

Current bum fighters of this generation. The real OGs would be rolling in their grave over what we got now.

Thats not what the dictionary says the difinition of champion is. thats your interpretation, why say something thats just not true, youre trying to take a general speaking term and make it your precise, your hate is getting in the way of a general conversation.

He can go ahead and retire now if he wants. No one will even notice that he's gone. If only Gervonta had the desire to be great and leave a legacy in boxing to match his talent and ability. As much as he has accomplished , his career leaves a lot to be desired. He could have done and been so much more. Davis is like a guy who could have been a Rhodes Scholar but settled for a GED and a couple of semesters of Community College.
