    LOL
Seriously, is hiring independent-minded journalists with free rein to write as they please a Saudi government thing to do?

Now that the Turkster has bought ring ****zine and promised fair rankings in boxing maybe next they can select the 64 teams for March Madness. And then as a grande finale they can choose the 4 teams in the CFA playoff bowl series

Interesting development, sounds like Turki has some things cooking. It will likely be a mouthpiece for Riyadh Season.

I won't lament over the loss of an independent and unbiased entity in the sport of boxing because it never really was (and I remember buying the print copies so many decades ago).

We've seen everything by now, we're gonna have to get used to more and more absurdities as time goes by...

The smartest was U2's Bono, the preacher, who became a Facebook shareholder around 2015 and became rich as f-uck - even more than he already was - in the process.

I don't know man. Do they really sell enough copies to be that viable these days? You're talking about a ****zine where first off, most folks don't buy anymore because of the internet and second, it's boxing which goes further into obscurity as MMA takes over and free boxing is hard to find. I'm not sure there is much you can do with it nowadays beyond The Ring becoming its own streaming platform or something to that effect.

The ****zine days are mostly over. That and when it was a hot item, I had to go out of my way to find them in Jersey. Typically, I could only find them at one particular book store in NYC and would pick it up whenever I'd train over to hang for the day in the city. It's just not a common ****zine to be found.

Yeah , print ****zines are dead. All of my subscriptions , even books ,are digital. There is no sense in killing trees and going through the process of printing a ****zine and distributing it anymore.

Saudi controlled media sources generally are problematic. That said, if he allows fair and independent journalists to do their jobs and produce rankings that are fair and reasonable, this could be a huge improvement in how the sport is covered.
