It's kind of funny because I watched this fight with Spanish (latino) commentators, and they had Conceicao winning. I guess 2 judges likes his aggressively : CompuBox numbers showed he out-punched Foster, 701-435.

Good article spot on about the bias and limitations of scoring rounds by viewers and judges. I've seen fights from the corner, ringside, the nose bleeds and my couch. They're different experiences to the senses.
I watched the fight but not carefully, it felt like Shock won but it was dreadfully boring. Hopefully both fighters understand that they need to do more this time around to make sure the results is decisive and clear.

I thought Foster won a one-sided fight. I was shocked that the judges stole that fight from him.

The funny thing is that on the Brazilian broadcast, not even Hebert Conceição, who is Robson's training partner, thought he won. This fight was **** and I doubt the rematch will be any better. Foster is a boring fighter and Robson isn't the most exciting either.pnut901 likes this.

But I've never felt like I could fault his heart, or his willingness to engage. The only thing that could possibly make him boring, IMO, is that lack of power. He could land 1000 punches and never knock his opponent down even once.
