Rank The 5 Undisputed/Formally Undisputed Champs Strictly By Popularity

I was having this conversation with a friend so I wanted to bring it here. How would you rank Haney, Inuoe, Beterbiev, Usyk, and Bud STRICTLY off popularity/drawing power.

BTW the conversation started because we were looking at youtube #s and Beterbiev-Bivol has 1.4m views after 4 days and Bud-Spence has 1.9m views after 2 months.

              In a popularity contest?

              1. Usyk
              2. Inoue
              3. Bud
              4. Beterviev
              5. Haney

Haney is the most well known inside and outside the states, however because he is so well known, his current antics have made him infamous.

              Such as:

-Trying to change his loss onto a win without actually doing anything, but instead he got a no contest. Which considering the circumstances, seems about right since Ryan shouldn't get the win if he tested positive.

-Suing his opponent for battery, defamation and emotional damage. Despite that he had consented to fight in the ring, with him and his father stating he is going to "kill" or hospitalize his opponent. He also had accepted the 1.5$ million dollars to continue the bout.

If you count strictly drawing power of them alone to sell tickets in their strongest locations disregarding the quality of opponent, I'd say out of those 5 Inoue in Tokyo actually might be the biggest draw individually given the situation right now.

Basically Inoue fighting a voluntary against Doheny got him to fill up the majority Ariake Arena, which is a 15000 full capacity. Even if you consider the fans of undercards adding a few handful, its arguable to say that by the fact of Inoue fighting in Tokyo region is good enough to pull 10k as the minimum because I doubt many people flocked the Arena to see the excitement of beating Doheny. Give him a good opponent that people want to see defeated (ie Nery) or a dream match with Nakatani they can rack it up to 50k in Japan.

Usyk I'm sure being the man to beat in HW makes it so that his strongest pull would be wherever boxing popular country that the opponent is from, but due to the circumstances him not having a chance to shine in Ukraine right now makes it hard to compare. Obviously an Usyk-Fury or Usyk-Joshua will fill out 100,000 Wembley with crazy PPV thanks to a combination of the undisputed* HW against a super popular boxer in UK, but by comparison...say, you can't really tell how much an Usyk-Chisora main event will get him nowadays. As a HW, his maximum is definitely the highest of them all but it fluctuates depending on opponent popularity.

Bud as of right now his best (most popular) opponent was Spence for obvious reasons. Fight a good opponent boxing fans want to see and he'll rake in a ton more because of the glory weight class he fights around, but Crawford doesn't give me vibes that he will get 10k+ at Vegas with a voluntary fight against Jesus Ramos next year (and obviously Crawford won't do it either as it is ZERO money).

Beterbiev is popular among the core boxing fans and if the opponent is one of Bivol rematch, winner of Benavidez/Morrell, Opetaia, or Canelo, it will get filled whether it be Vegas or Australia or Mexico. But not sure how much he can sell a voluntary fight with Dan Azeez in...I dunno, Canada? Russia?

I'm pretty confident to say that the least individual pull out of the five is Haney though. He absolutely needs the opponent to pull, as he himself has almost no fans. I'm sure Haney-Garcia got a fair amount of tickets sold (all thanks to Garcia), but for comparison how much did Haney-Prograis pull?

agree with this order. inoue is big in japan. Usyk def the biggest. Bud is still pretty unknown, i mean hell the camera crew / producers for UFC who does fight sports, thought he was kendrick lamar. could you imagine them mistaking de la hoya for mario lopez? of course not because de la hoya is famous enough on his own
