Comments Thread For: Dmitry Bivol says he waited too much for 'perfect' moments against Artur Beterbiev

Good. He has the correct understanding to at least to be able to change the outcome in a rematch. As Bivol astutely observes, however, knowing how to do something and actually doing it are two entirely different things.

You have to be perfect in every department to beat Beterbiev otherwise he is going to steamroll you.

Not being knocked out against Beterbiev is the second place after "perfect".

Agree. I can see how wary he was because it's a slippery slope trying to out punch Beterbiev. But to win that's what ya gotta do.

all ya needed was 1 out of the last 3 rounds on the cards to change the result i think

“I felt I had good episodes. He had good episodes,” Bivol said. “But I didn’t count how many episodes I did; is it enough for win or not? In my philosophy, I’m a warrior and everything should be perfect. Everything what I’m doing, I have to do it well or I shouldn’t do it at all. This fight, I didn’t do well. Maybe it’s enough to be winner. Maybe it’s not enough. But I didn’t do it perfect, how I want to do it.”
“I knew before how to beat him, you know? And he knew, also, how to beat me,” Bivol said. “But I think all fans in front of the TV, they know how to beat him and how to beat me. It’s the easiest part to know, but the hardest part to do it.”

True Sport... No BS... Respect to Bivol !

Reading this this I see: " I didn't have enough left in the tank for the final push in the Championship Rounds... Next time I might be All-In earlier and hope for the best..."

I felt some moments where I could do it, but I was a little bit careful.
No s**t. Beterbiev hits like a mule and we see how Bivol's face looked after the fight. You have to fight a cautious fight with Beterbiev regardless because if he starts catching you clean, you're going to get hurt. Beterbiev is a strong dude. The moments where Bivol started to unload, Beterbiev would throw one or two punches that would instantly neutralize Bivol. I just think this is a perfect match up and that's why I want to see a rematch again.
