Comments Thread For: Exchanges between Terence Crawford and Teofimo Lopez, on social media

Undefeated two-division undisputed champion Terence Crawford took to X to respond to recent call-outs from two-division titleholder Teofimo Lopez, escalating tensions between the two fighters. Typically reserved on social media, Crawford challenged Lopez to face his last opponent, Israil Madrimov, as a prerequisite for a potential showdown.

Why is Crawford insisting Lopez goes through someone to fight him.
Lopez has categorically stayed he'll fight for free so call his bluff, send him the contract and make the fight Bud!

Crawford should focus on Fundora. WBO ordered the fight and wants the belt back to T Bud, obviously.

But if you want to see T Bud not demanding too much money and transparency, this is the fight to make. He wants to punish Teo Lopez. Probably similar to his dislike of Jermell Charlo, who should have come back for Bud.

I find it mildly amusing that Crawford specifically mentioned Madrimov, given he is actually about to fight Bohachuk? according to rumors next.

Dunno if he uses social media but Madrimov should ask "so do I get a rematch with you (Crawford) as a reward when I defeat Teo?" and see what the answer is, regardless Crawford's answer he can get some decent character exposure that casuals might like.

                They are boring.

TC isn't going back down to 147 and Teofimo isn't going up to 147. So they are just being lames.

That’s rich from Crawford criticizing Lopez’ win over Taylor, when his own biggest accomplishment was beating a straight up zombie (Spence).

It ain't gonna happen from either side but if people really are in for the challenge and not just speaking for the money, the ultimate great way for Boots to get himself in the potential lineup is to butt in "Hey, I'd fight Madrimov if the winner gets to fight Crawford!" or something like that.

In fact if Boots is actually serious about wanting Crawford (which I actually doubt) and want a crack then if he defeats Madrimov in a more dominant fashion than Crawford (either a wider decision or drop him or best case, KO him) he'll have a great fodder to feed on getting Crawford to have to atleast comment on it, but he won't be able to ignore it as much because if he calls Madrimov as not that impressive the fact that he struggled against him will look bad, and if he calls him a great opponent then Boots just defeated Crawford's best win in a more dominant way.
In Madrimov's case, if he defeats Boots then all the praise Boots is receiving will become his and he'd become much better known among that demographic, plus he can argue to have defeated the guy Crawford didn't want to face and deserves a rematch after a very close fight. Even if he doesn't get a Crawford rematch, it might interest Turki to pay him against the likes of Tszyu/Fundora/Ortiz and other good names after Bohachuk.
