Not all of us think a like............. First are they or anybody really going to cut the price of PPV to $ 20 a fight card ? I do not think so, but prove me wrong and i will appreciate it. There has got to be an effort on boxing to draw more " New " fight fans into the mix. "How many times i have heard " 80/100 bucks for a fight " NO WAY " or if i have to go about back door-ing it forget about it" so yea it would help the fight game grow anything to act like Boxing cares about its fans would help. Money and access is a barrier to new fight fans. Boxing is one of the few sports that beats up on fans who do not know a lot about the sport but like to check in on a regular basis if not for PPV high prices. " Casuals " are treated like idiots in a lot of forums. But not with Baseball easy access, or Football if you do not know a scheme or an offense from a defense eat and watch the game Football fans dont care and look how the NFL got women into the sport in past 20 years ? Quiet and slick is how they did it all inclusive is what they want. Knowledge who cares just put the channel on the TV and watch is what most sports want............Boxing needs to catch up like it used to be .........

Only way to get more fans is free fights but lower PPVs would help with piracy.

The weird thing is have the PBC lot will object to less PPVs , its kind of like a belt to them ie he's a PPV fighter , how many PPVs did he do , how much did they cost, if the same fighter fought in stadiums to 10's of millions they hate on him.

Piracy isn't going anywhere because there's other free show on the channels, so there devices will still get the fights. And so it goes

At least one hit piece per week. Is that what Garry Jonas (BS/ProBox owner) prescribed?
What specifically about Turki is causing so much pain in Garry's arse?

Btw, but not a word about Canelo & Regular Davis' $80+ mismatch cards.

I’ve really gotten over the whole Turki thing. He’s just become uninteresting. He’s a fan with money, and a new fan at that, and maybe not even much of a fan, more like a PR guy for the royal house of Saud tasked with improving public perception on the wake of Saudi atrocities like chopping up journalists and supporting Wahhabism and such

The problem is the paying fans nowadays are the older ones who have a bit of cash and aren’t as tech savvy, and they are getting gouged to make up for the people streaming the fight illegally (like myself admittedly).

I don’t know if this is a fixable problem.

Somehow, back in the day (1970s and 1980s) the networks would air the big fight cards for free in primetime and the main event headliners (think Larry Holmes vs Earnie Shavers) would do their thing for ALL to watch.
And they got paid big bucks (for the time, anyway) to do it.
PPV is choking the life out of a sport that used to provide even the poorest of us access to the biggest matchups.

                    This.
And the promoters know it better than we do.
                    I get that money talks.
                    But "His Excellency"?
                    Excellency Schmexellency
I just wish one of them had the stones to refer to the guy as "Mr. Turkey" rather than the E-word all the time.

If at most it's worth 20 bucks. Bivol vs Beterbiev will be on ESPN plus thanks to the Bob Father.
