Comments Thread For: Daniel Dubois fighting fit for Anthony Joshua after emerging from 'dark' time

Daniel Dubois looked tired and frustrated rather than hurt as he watched the referee Luis Pabon count him out of his fight with the unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk. Mentally beaten, Dubois stayed on his haunches and the Ukrainian retained his titles with a ninth-round stoppage

Big Doobie has dealt with his demons, he went into the fire the pits of despair , he burned , and he burned , body and soul like a cinder and came out the other side as a different man, hardened by fire and pressure, a DIAMOND. Big Doobie is like the Phoenix , arisen from the ashes of Daniel Dubois to become The Beast , The Slayer ,The Annihilator, The Reaper of Mens Souls, Big Doobie The Destroyer.

DDD has done well to bounce back from two defeats, but I am still not 100% sold on his world class status. Miller and Hrgovic are not great yardstick to measure his new found confidence and the will to win. AJ will definitely test him and will bring new level of adversity for Daniel to face up to. Let's see how he deals getting tagged a few times with those right hands and how he responds. AJs punches are going to be much harder than Hrgovic's and I don't think he will gas after a few rounds. On the other hand AJ will also have to deal with Daniel's heavy hands and new found confidence - exciting fight. Can't wait.

I really like both guys and hate it when two fighters I like have to fight each other. That sucks!

I can't see this ending early. More like when they're tired. Both improved, so it's hard to call confidently.
But AJ for me. I like both though, sad someone has to lose.

Who is going to be the sloppier of Usyk's seconds and claim the trash belt he binned ?

Dubois can win. He's come a long way, and he's been active. I do think AJ has the edge because he came to America and absorbed some of that style and mixed it with British boxing, similar to how Prince Naseem and Lennox Lewis did in the past. I think it made him leaner, meaner, and more confident, more relaxed and less mechanical. He's at a point now where he's knows why he's throwing certain punches and making certain moves, as opposed to just swinging heavy blows. He's very fit and very confident now. He's on another level than he was in the past. Now he's looking more like what fans had hoped he had the potential to be
