And your not from the NY/NJ metro area. You might as well be Mexican. Hater . Too many these days lol. You had a bad day today . I can tell . It gets better papito.

Bro, three posts in a row? And I’m bothered? Who’s running this account? Edgar Berlanga himself? And I’m the one that’s triggered? Yikes.

      Okay, here we go.

#1: Of course you’re entitled to root whoever you want to, it’s a free country. Root for Berlanga. If that’s your boy, that’s your boy. I just don’t think he has potential. My two cents.

#2: Yes, I HAVE lived in PR. I LIVE in Puerto Rico. I’ve been here for nearly two decades. As to why I’m getting called an “Uncle Tom”, I dunno. But if that’s your shot, you do you.

#3: I know all about the Berlanga lookalikes. They’re all around PR. They typically travel in groups of three to five and like to catcall women or brag about how many “mamis” they’ve bagged. They typically originate out of the projects, people of rough upbringing, or those who are partial to the AutoMech school for would be car mechanics or tricked out cars (ie: “La fiebre”, or being “fiebru”). Berlanga lookalikes are also known to come out at night and be drawn to bass thumping typically found in the reggaeton genre. Think of people like Bad Bunny, Daddy Yankee, Wisin y Yandel or Ñengo Flow. Their visual aesthetic is derived from independent neighborhood barbershops where they’re known to communicate stating such phrases as: “Acho, papi…”, “Mera cabrón…”, “Dale, ¡de verdad! ¡No miento! ¡Right true! ¡Jurao por papito Dios!” *Kisses fingers and does a downward slicing gesture* or…last but not least, “Que clase huelebi***.” I censored that last word. It’s de****able, but admittedly funny.

But please, enlighten me how little I know.

I am not going to root for Berlanga on the sole basis of him being Puerto Rican. He just doesn’t move the needle for me. But if he does for you, that’s fine. To each his own.

If you live there then what is the problem . You the one with the issues not me. We talking smack for fun . I'm not gonna hate on my people. I was raised in PR and Jersey back and forth. Not likely, but yes I want Berlanga to go in and get an upset ! It's corny . But I'm gonna roll with it .

And I dunno, but Crawford is a boxer who takes pride, currently, in being a boxer....and not an exhibition joke. As undefeated as Floyd is, he's not in my top 10 fighters of all time list. After he beat DLH, he stopped daring to be great.

Bud dares to be great. I hope he does get that fight with Canelo next....so the world can be entertained. This fight can go either way in my opinion....but I'm giving the edge to Crawford.
I already saw Fundora beat up Madrimov with own eyes, just check their resident locations on Boxrec and you will see. They live in towns next to each other. If you want to bet let me know, if it even happens which I doubt.

I root for PR fighters. I liked Cotto while he was active. I liked Juanma before we found out he became a wild swinging puncher whenever he got hurt. Ivan Calderon wasn’t the most entertaining but he was one of the slickest fighters of our era. More people came to watch him just to see him make his opponents miss and shout, “Ole!” whenever he evaded punches. But I only caught him at the tail end of his career.

The only time I saw Juanma fight in person was the first Salido fight…and the only time I went to see Calderón was when Segura stopped him on his turf.

My father was absolutely pissed. But I took it in stride. They were both fun fights while they lasted. Our guy just happened to come up short. The Juanma fight in particular was a little bit dicey because the fight started rioting. And needlessly, I might add. Juanma was getting tagged constantly.

            It’s on the Showtime broadcast.

Al Bernstein: “The crowd is upset that they stopped the fight and I don’t—*Loud thud!* AAAAAAGH!

Gus Johnson: “They’re throwing water bottles! My partner has just been hit!”

Lol. I loved Juanma. He was entertaining as hell. Fun! Salido is his father. I never could understand that happening. My feelings were hurt. Juanma had the skills to beat Salido . Yes , I agree his chin got cracked . I gotta say that you bring up good points. I agree with you . Before he became a joke , those Salido fights were dramatic. Like a Spanish Novela
