Granted, he's getting a massive paycheck, so he won't feel too bad about it, but his future drawing power will probably take a massive hit.
Yea I do! Win or lose I get behind my people. I stand for what I believe in. And the fact that this thread is going 9 pages ....... well I think I tickled some of you . Would you pick Crawford over Berlanga? Berlanga keep talking lol it's working. It's like you guys want Berlanga to act a certain way . He does have something to prove in this fight though.

Boxing needs a Rican fighter who talks trash and Kos people. It's always had that. It's good for the sport. Of course if you are Canelos pedigree you gonna think it's an easy win. We will see.

Not Crawfords legacy . Jesus el savior christ.
They brought up Crawford…I responded to something about Crawford. But sure, if it affects you that much that we deviated from Berlanga so much I’ll try to stick to the topic of Berlanga…………….

Berlanga is SO LIMITED as a fighter that Crawford would stop him. Crawford via body shot TKO. In fact, **** it. If Berlanga wins and gets Canelo’s straps, Crawford is going to have the EASIEST route to become unified champion at 168.

Oh, and it’s nice to think having a PR fighter who talks trash should be in (cause the attention), but there’s a teeny tiny problem with Berlanga:

When you talk trash, and back it up…you become a villain.

When you talk trash, and CAN’T back it up…you become a clown. Berlanga is going to turn into the latter.

And when you become the clown, the shtick gets old quick: Broner, Mayorga, etc.

Berlanga trying to pull a Juan Diaz would be like me jumping into a 2005 Nissan Sentra, getting up on the freeway and trying to floor it at 80 mph. Is it going to get up there? Yes. Is the car going to start shaking like it’s convulsing? You bet your ass it will.

It’s going to be shaking and trembling like a spaceship trying to enter lightspeed…on the verge of completely disintegrating.
Would you rather he shells up for 12 rounds? i mean its obvious its a lopsided mismatch you think Berlanga is gonna win a decision.

He may as well go all out you never know 1-10000 punch lands like Ruiz against Joshua and boom upset.

I mean, we’re in the social media age and information reaches fighter’s ears much quicker than before.

I KNOW for a fact that Berlanga has the general public and even the commentators shaking their head at the fact that he got this opportunity and I’m sure part of his demeanor and his smack-talking is him having a huge chip on his shoulder. I would, too if everyone wasn’t giving me a shot. But Berlanga is straight-up jumping into the deep end of the pool headfirst and leaning into full villainy like mad villainy. He’s embracing the heel and that’s good for promotion. His credibility gets torpedo’d afterwards in the loss. It’s front-loaded. He’s going all in and not being humble. He wants people to turn out. Bless his heart.

If he goes out on his shield and actually gives a damn and puts out an effort (even if it’s not effective), he may win over some fans. As it stands right now, his lukewarm performances have not given me any inkling into believing he’s going to go for broke like Andy Ruiz vs. Joshua, Juan Diaz vs. Marquez, or Maidana vs. Floyd in the first fight.

And if he does, he’s going to back off after 3 rounds once those counters start doing that typical bonus damage that comes from not seeing the punches.

I like Canelo by stoppage somewhere in the 8th-9th.

If Berlanga beats Canelo by decision, I’m going to be salty.

If Berlanga ices Canelo, it’s going to be more painful to me than when Cotto lost to Margarito on July 26, 2008.

That's your opinion. But it's not the truth and you know deep down as a man . You're uncomfortable because I'm right

                  I agree.

They DO teach that an elementary school. They also teach basic grammar and punctuation. Please don’t forget to use commas in your posts, sir. It’s the difference between

“Come on, Vazquez! Help your Uncle Jack off the horse!”

                  and

“Come on Vazquez help uncle jack off the horse!”

You’re Puerto Rican and you want your guy to win, and so do all casuals in PR that are going to hear about the fight the week of and on the day of the fight, but Berlanga isn’t the guy.

Plant beats him, Benavidez beats him, Morrell beats him, Pacheco beats him, Munguia beats him, a drunk and inactive Jermall Charlo probably beats him. Berlanga is a gatekeeper in progress.

And yes, it’s my opinion. If I’m wrong, I’ll eat my words. But I don’t think I’m going to be eating humble pie. Highly highly highly highly highly doubt it.

PS: Girls like what? You mean them having someone having to act a certain way? Berlanga can act however he wants. I’m just not buying into anything he has to offer right now.

The tough guy persona, the entitlement, the inversely proportionate coupling between his talent and his perception of where he stands among his peers, showing up to the first press conference shirtless while wearing sunglasses like a gang****er. Ugh…second hand embarrassment as a Puerto Rican through the roof.

Ha ha ha ha ha . You a joke as a puerto Rican. You ever live there? They would call you a gringo. Everything I stated was correct. Everything I stated bothered you . You are obviously an Uncle Tom Rican. Think you know everything because your checking commas. Ha ha ha ha ha . Goodbye what you said made 0 sense. You just try to sound smart. They have to fight in the ring . I'm allowed to root for whoever I want for . What you should do is spend that comma energy ******* your own Horse . You obviously never ever lived in PR. And your not from the NY/NJ metro area. You might as well be Mexican. Hater . Too many these days lol. You had a bad day today . I can tell . It gets better papito.
