Comments Thread For: Vergil Ortiz Jr. on next move: 'I can beat everyone in the division'

Vergil Ortiz Jr. proved much by going the distance with a hellacious fighter like Serhii Bohachuk, overcoming the brutal scorecard effects of two flash knockdowns and winning the championship rounds even though he'd never been to the 10th round in his career.

What still amazes me is his conditioning. Only a few rounds in a couple years and his preparation was great.

Vergil has some great opportunities coming soon to prove his words . Looking forward to seeing him go for it .

This is how all fighters should think and act. Vergil wants to be in with whoever, whenever. Regardless of who you think won, the negativity that was thrown his way after the Bohachuk fight was disgusting. All he wants to do is challenge himself in that ring. Hard to believe why more fans (whether you think Vergil is for real or not) can't get behind that.

I’m a big fan of Vergil Ortiz, he’s exciting to watch and he’s a very good boxer. But he already failed at beating Bohachuk, so he was already proven wrong about that despite what the judges said.

I enjoy watching Vergil's fights. If he fights everyone at 154 as he says he wants to he will loose at least once but it will be fun to watch. he is never in a boring fight.

I think Bohachuk more than deserves a rematch but there not gonna give him that fight again. Out of sight out of mind

There are two things Virgil needs to do. #1. Stay on his feet. What in the world is he doing down there? #2. Stay on his feet. Two knockdowns and he still won? That is a rarity.

According to compu box and the Judges he won. To some fans he lost and to some he won. He actually won the rounds were he was dropped, and was not even hurt in either knock down. Saw him win majortity of the rounds. It's base on opinion.

Why not revisit the Tszyu fight??? Timmy doesn't want it? As soon as the forehead cut healed, Tszyu should have demanded the Ortiz Jr. fight be put back on. Vergil edged the Bohachuk fight, but by only one point at most. His late surge pulled it out for him.
