I think Bud will stop him. Ortiz is nowhere near as defensively aware as Madrimov is. Bud will figure him out and then take him out IMO.

I like Vergil’s tenacity and how he dogged Bohachuk when they counted that second knockdown. He was fighting back like a champion.

But Bud doesn’t get tired and he is a savage even at age, what…37 now…?

I still love Bud to chop down that body and out point him.

Bud and it’s not even close. If Bohachuk could drop him then Bud would stop him. That fight would would look like batting practice for Terence Crawford.

Bud by UD or a KO in under 10. Bud throws angle shots and short shots you don’t see coming. That and D is where he gets Ortiz in my humble opinion!
I agree that Bud seems to be the all around better fighter but as I gave Bud some leniency for his fight ( meaning it was his first fight at the weight ) I’d have to give some to Virgil being the fact that in all reality you could say the same for him cause his other fights only lasted two rounds
If I were to have a gun to my head then I would pick Bud right there and then

This is the first time he had to fight a hard 12 rounds. There were some positive signs. His power still seemed to be there, and he showed fortitude by digging deep and making the fight close. He also showed that he could box a bit if necessary.

The red flag: it's not only how easy he was to touch while coming forward, but while he was trying to box. This fight illuminated to me that Ortiz is lacking in the athleticism department. That's not the end of the world, but it's nice to have at the elite level. Athleticism can force an opponent to respect your skill-set. I think Madrimov's athleticism was making TC a bit tentative. I think Ortiz is gonna have to use his power/size/youth and try to bully TC because I'm not sure he'll be able to employ the same tactics that Madrimov did. If he tries to be 'cute' and box vs. TC, he's probably going to lose.

Yet another racist post from the king of that garbage. He’s been banned here many times for making racist posts and it doesn’t look like he’ll be around long this time either.

That dude is a serious threat! Man his feint game was unreal. I went back and watched a few of his fights before Bud, he wasn’t doing that ish!
I'd sure like to see him matched well again next time, but let his hands go more though.

Bud of course... and then we'll all agree that Ortiz took a beating against Bohachuk just looking at his face after the Bud fight ...

Bud is not taking another fight this year, mark my word. These are prime hungry lions he's dealing with now. He'll be laying low for the rest of the year, you'll see.
