Nah Brook was better than Porter he took his title from him in Vegas. Spence stopping Brook in England when they were both in their primes was legendary. By the time he fought Porter he had declined due to his lifestyle and Porter had lost to Brook thurman and was given a more than generous decision against Ugas. The Spence that had fought Brook would’ve punished Porter. He barely eeked out a decision. IMO he never really caught the magic of the Brook fight again in his career…the Crawford fight was his chance but he clearly doesn’t have it anymore. I think he kind of knows that now.

He's done so much damage to his body, I doubt he could mentally talk himself into getting into wars in the ring with the likes of a Crawford, Boots, Fundora, Thurman, Charlo Tzysu, etc..
It might be wise to just retire instead of going through the motions, if that's all he's going to do. To get in the ring with such threatening opponents, would require much sacrifice. I dunno is Spence could put in the work anymore.
Spence has a great personality. I'd like to seem him serve as a commentator/analyst for some PPV team.
I think he's in a good place financially....

'Instead of spending time in the gym he would rather spend time in the strip clubs with the bitches and hoes while getting high and drinking it up with his buddies at 4'oclock am.'
In fairness, I would too

I think a telling statistic is what happens to careers of ppl after they fight Bud. Viktor Postol was unefeated. After Bud, he went 3 wins and 4 losses and was stopped twice. Julius indongo was undefeated b4 Bud. After Bud, he went 2 wins 9 losses and was stopped 6 times. Jeff Horn was undefeated b4 Bud aside from a draw, after Bud went 2-2, was stopped twice. Jose Benavidez was undefeated for 8 years b4 Bud. After Bud, was out of the ring for 3 years, came back had 1 win, 1 draw and 2 losses. After Bud, Amir Khan came back and beat Billy Dib then got smoked by Kell Brook. He hasn't been heard from since. Kell Brook lost to Bud then beat flames out of Khan but hasn't fought again. Shawn Porter gave his all, as usual, but he retired after Bud stopped him. Bud gave anesthesia to Avanesyan. He came back got a win then Ennis gave him amnesia. But you have to gives lots of credit to him for taking on the toughest guys, though. So it seems like not all, but a lot of guys that fought Bud, just ain't the same afterwards, so let's see what happens with Errol. I wish him all the bestLast edited by archiemoore1; 07-27-2024, 09:08 PM.BrankoB likes this.

Spence would need a tune-up with the new trainer, but he doesn't do those nor does he have one. On top of that, his first fight at the new weight class would be on the back of a loss? And against a champion of said weight class?
I'd say I don't know who is advising him, but that'd be a lie
