I also think that the last thing Arum wants is for Pac to retire.

why do I have a funny funny funny feeling that Pac-Mosley will happen before Floyd-Mosley?!?.....if Pac steps in the ring with the 2 best WW's in the world BEFORE Floyd does......that will REALLY reveal something about Floyd and show you ALOT about Pac!!!

PAC will not fight at 147 so I dont giv him real WW credit, I wud giv credit for the wins but if u gota drain ur opponent to fight them then jus stay at ur reg weight. He fought DLH at 147 cuz he knew DLH wud come in looking like a crack head, Shane is willin to do th same thing. Cotto wud not bend to 143 and they are afraid of Shane even at 140, so the best thing for Arum is to let his two fighters fight so he gets all the money.....this is why boxing is jus like the WWE

I don't know man Arum does not give his guys that much control of who they fight. He keeps on making statement which point to him not wanting to make this fight unless he gets the lion's share and even if he does get it i'm not so sure anymore. This is probably going to be an unpopular statement but i'm going to say it anyway. I think the reason the Cotto-Mayweather fight not happening is similar to the reason why the Pac-Mayweather fight may not happen; Arum seems to be waiting for floyd to lose or just walk away. He really thinks Mosley can beat Floyd and would much rather see floyd lose and this fight fade out then for any of his big fighters to take an L to floyd. It's clear that Arum and Floyd still harbor a lot of resentment to one another and it goes a lot deeper than business. The question is how far will pac be willing to go to make this fight happen... I don't think he'll leave Top Rank for it. I could be wrong but I don't see these guys fighting each other anytime soon but we'll clearly know by december.

And Arum doesn't sound too confident in his fighters beating Mayweather.

Good point...I said it before...P4P king my @ss...fight at the weight class limit, those 2 lbs are just to get an advantage that he wouldn't need if he really was P4P #1...

Or go and fight @ the 140 lbs limit against JWW with no drained advantage...

I find it awfully funny that Mayweather fans are excusing Floyd blowing off Mosley's challenge while Pacquiao is putting his foot down with Mayweather before Pacquiao even fights Cotto. Mayweather is gonna get left out of the mix if he doesn't fight Shane. Real talk. All those PPVs numbers that Floyd got just makes him more difficult to negotiate with because most of the people that bought the PPVs or went to the fight were rooting for his opponent to beat him. The gate was 95% Mexican and pro JMM.

I thought it was a 50-50 fight also when it first got made, but now im leaning heavily toward Cotto. I mean, look what floyd did to a little man. This is exactly why we have weight classes. I think Cotto is way too strong for Pac. And Cotto adjusts to speed very well. Pac has been KO'd by body shots twice and Cotto's left hand to the body is gonna be the difference.

Man if I cud find my post from another topic I said Cotto wud catch him wit a left hook to the head come down to the body and end the fight. But, since May did wat he did to JMM and JMM sayin that he knows May will pick apart PAC I've leaned a lil more toward Cotto also, but I think they both can win this fight in a fashion that can call for a rematch. Now that wud kill the Cotto vs May and May vs Pac talk but thats jus how I see it. To sum it up I wud bet watev to whoev that Cotto wins this fight.

Exactly, if your moving up ion weight then move up to that weight class, all his upper weight fights have been handicap matches. Yes they choose to come in like that for the money but let be real, Everyone knows @ 147 Cotto is top 2 in the class, so u make him come down in weight to fight for his title....that does not make you the WBO WW champ sorry.

Mentioning a rematch already?????? Hmmm Arum might know something. Pac is a very good fighter but Cotto is just a damn beast. Amazing footwork Incredible power Very Fast Great Defense He's an all around complete fighter. Pac got himself into deep **** with this guy. This fight better live up to its hype can't wait.
