All signs point to Arum freezing out floyd and forcing him to fight mosley IMO. Arum is pricing himself out he knows the business and therefore knows that the numbers point to Mayweather deserving the bigger share. Personally I think he may be keeping the fight from happening because of the likelihood of manny retiring after taking that big paycheck.

I still don't understand why nobody is giving cotto a chance, everybody talks like manny is fighting some bum, it makes no sense to me. Go figure....

I say this in every topic that talks about the fight...so many ppl are over looking him like he is DLH or something. Cotto has as good a chance to wim the fight as Pac has.

I thought it was a 50-50 fight also when it first got made, but now im leaning heavily toward Cotto. I mean, look what floyd did to a little man. This is exactly why we have weight classes. I think Cotto is way too strong for Pac. And Cotto adjusts to speed very well. Pac has been KO'd by body shots twice and Cotto's left hand to the body is gonna be the difference.

I think win or lose Pac will seriously consider retiring after Cotto. I hope not. I have to see him vs Mayweather if he beats Cotto.

I don't know man Arum does not give his guys that much control of who they fight. He keeps on making statement which point to him not wanting to make this fight unless he gets the lion's share and even if he does get it i'm not so sure anymore. This is probably going to be an unpopular statement but i'm going to say it anyway. I think the reason the Cotto-Mayweather fight not happening is similar to the reason why the Pac-Mayweather fight may not happen; Arum seems to be waiting for floyd to lose or just walk away. He really thinks Mosley can beat Floyd and would much rather see floyd lose and this fight fade out then for any of his big fighters to take an L to floyd. It's clear that Arum and Floyd still harbor a lot of resentment to one another and it goes a lot deeper than business. The question is how far will pac be willing to go to make this fight happen... I don't think he'll leave Top Rank for it. I could be wrong but I don't see these guys fighting each other anytime soon but we'll clearly know by december.

pac wont make it pass cotto. after this fight it will painfully obvious that pac name should not even be mentioned as a possible opponent against the top welters
