Benavidez Going To 175 To Duck Morrell. Insane.

IDK how people dont see through Team Benavidez. Swore theyd fight Morrell if no Canelo, now they're going to 175 to fight a b- level guy who will be 37 on fight night. And NOBODY can say "but but but hell be the mando for Bivol/Beterbiev winner". He KNOWS hes not getting that fight. Eddie Hearn has already said he'd want Canelo/Benavidez on DAZN but PBC wouldnt let that happen so same thing applies to Bivol/Benavidez. Bob Arum barely ever lets his top fighters fight pbc guys and more importantly, Beterviev has already already said he wants to move up to cruiserweight. This is a BLATANT DUCK. If Benavidez fans are going to call out Canelo, fine
But dont be bias and not act like Benavidez is ducking tf out of Morrell.

Nobody wants to fight anybody anymore unless it’s for big money. Everyone wants to retire early from the sport. Who can blame them? But boxing suffers. Many of us feel the sport is dying. These are just a couple of the reasons why.

Gvozdyk is an excellent fight, Morrell would be a good fight as well. Of the two fighters, one is much more proven than the other. Beating Gvovdyk would mean a great deal more than defeating an unproven prospect.

Fans see it, they just refuse to acknowledge it because Canelo is the hot topic. I predicted in another thread that Canelo would leave PBC with the intent of asking David to come to DAZN...because this is about ego/pride and not fear. Canelo wants to exercise his A-side leverage on Benavidez, and David won't go for it because of some twisted sense of loyalty. Benavidez is another fighter who is probably being paid better than his current star-power would suggest....so he'll refuse to make sacrifices for the fight that can change his career overnight. David is probably thinking, "I'm younger....I'll just wait Canelo out".

In Plant's interview recently, he mentioned fighting Berlanga when he has direct access to Morrell. That's all that needs to be said about how absolutely fuxcked Morrell is.

From what I saw David isn't leaving 168, hes going up to try to become a mando for Beterbiev or Bivol in the near future since he cant get a belt fight at 168 rn.

Morrell still needs a more defining W before he'll get bigger fights like David. Morrell should be trying to fight one of the many respectable prospects at 168.

That'd be a good fight for Morrell next too. Morrell needs to go touch Caleb's beard & that fight is completely makeable next.

A lot of these guys are their own worst enemies with getting big fights. Theres a reason a basic guy like Tommy Fury is making 8 digits & big talents like Boots (who I'm bigger on than Morrell) & Morrell are probably still making 6 digits. This is a different era. If you don't got a social media guy selling your name & brand 24/7/365 you are living money & fans on the table. Morrell specifically should be working on his English. You are never gonna maximizes your upside in the US while not speaking English.

Benavidez used similar logic when he chose Andrade and down-played Morrell. I think Morrell is purposely being moved slowly to ensure that there isn't a public demand for a match-up between them. PBC wants the focus to be solely on Canelo and Benavidez.

How can Benavidez duck Morell when Morell turned down the fight?

Benavidez is moving up because he can't waste his prime trying to get Canelo to grow some balls.

Fortunately, Morrell is learning English. What he ultimately needs is the activity, and I don't think he'll get it. Plant spoke about Jermall, Canelo, and Berlanga...does it sound like Morrell has a legit chance of getting him in the ring? Morrell/Mbilli would be fireworks. The issue is that he'll only get Mbilli if Team Benavidez doesn't want him, and Jose Sr. just expressed interest in Mbilli.

David said in an interview recently that pbc offered Ginger 60 mill w/ppv and gate upside while David happily accepted the 5 mill FLAT FEE. Not sure how the loyalty part you typed is what you say it is.
