The saudis must be pissed they took a massive L if they are the ones who fronted the guarantee money.

That means all these massive payouts for future fights have dried up for the fighters.

Nobody talks about the impacts to the sport when fighters are overpayed but it has major negative effects. Guys will hold out not fighting each other waiting for big pay days. Or if they are under a big contract like GGG under Dazn who had high guarantees regardless who he fought, he was happy to fight steve rolls for 10 million, that destroys the sport.

That is only 4.4 million revenue, then the venue a lot of the celebs got free tickets. so there wasnt going to be a massive amount of revenue from the gate.

whomever paid out the gaurantees for these guys 20+ million each... man they are ***ed.

these guys are spoiled with the crazy rag heads and their crazy sports plans, just stick to camel racing and torturing the general population, they have run out of playthings and want new toys seems to me

It seems the Saudis are just having fun grossly over paying entertainers in recent years with no long term business plan or plan to get a return other than the entertainment value. They pay WWE something like 50M a show for the wrestlers to go over there. There is no way they can get a return on this.

The boxers probably have guarantees, the Saudis are the ones who lose the money... but... they don't give a F anyway. They got the headlines and 'Event' they wanted to sportwash the public.
