World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman has confirmed that he told Dewey Cooper, trainer of MMA veteran Francis Ngannou, that his fighter will receive a top ten ranking from the WBC. On Saturday in Saudi Arabia, Ngannou made his professional boxing debut against the man many viewed as the top heavyweight of the weight class, WBC world champion Tyson Fury.

I'm surprised they didn't give him the "Ngannou Belt" for a small 3% fee

The whole thing smells of circus and carney. Its about how bad Fury looked. The lazy bum probably asked them to put the money in his pocket.

Ngannou seems a bit too savvy to believe that he needs sanctioning body rankings for anything. He's just fought the top guy in the division with no ranking. I would think it suits him better to remain completely unranked.

Mauricio says that Ngannou, a fighter who never participated in a professional boxing event, or who had a stellar amateur pedigree and who was making a pro debut, and lost, should be ranked. I mean what utter BS! Mauricio, will do anything for a sanction fee. He has no shame. What a buffon.

Someone in print media should ask him, name me one fighter who never had a stellar amateur career, and made a pro debut, lost the fight and got ranked by the WBC? The only boxer is Ngannou, which shows what a shameless, corrupt, buffon Mauricio is.
