Wait what?
Goddamn y'all hypocritical mother ****ers ain't yas?
Okay boy-oh's, dig this:
If you spend your days promoting TBRB or Ring, get the **** out of this thread.
If you argue with me about the importance of official ratings and why they matter, get the **** out of this thread.
If you like to say Wilder never fought a top ten, only fought one, two, or some other absurdly low number no reigning defending champion can possibly get away with, get the **** out of this thread.
The only people who should give a flying **** are those who recognize WBC ratings in the first place.
"TBRB dah real ratin' doe" the next day "Wha, WBC talkin' 'bout ratin' a debutant, dats unfair to dah boxers doe" ... You, um, you don't see how ****ing ****** you are?
That's unfair to the boxers ... sitting on your fatass refusing to recognize what rating actually effect their careers while promoting a ****ing writer's league rating like it matters - totes fair to dah boxers doe is it?
Ya flat-skulled slimy ****s yas.

Theres no rules to how you should be ranked it seems. But Francis might have been a one off. If he fought another boxer in top ten he might be annihilated. So i think you need to win to get a ranking dont you, thats the least you should achieve otherwise its a bit of a mockery, having had only had one fight and lost it yet still be ranked?
Im not saying Francis isnt a top ten on ability thoiugh. He could beat Wilder and everyone else but its the principle of the thing, winning fantasy fights only get you so far.

Toney summed up perfectly when he said "We Be Crooks".
But like I said Ngannou ran Fury close that in and of itself is enough to justify a ranking in the top 15 at the least, so he can be eligible to take the belt from Fury should they rematch.
As for Hrgovic, he's not the greatest example because he was positioned not based on merit but the power of his promoter(s).
Ngannou is set to be positioned based not on his promotional outfit's power but his potential market value.
It's nothing new and it'll continue long after ngannou and his contemporaries fade to nothing more than a memory...
