Why exactly did Haney deserve to win for being bewildered and being backed up for most of the fight?
The fighter who lands the cleaner punches deserves the W, not the other way round.
Im not sure he deserved the win clearly. Either way, thats not what i said. I said i dont think he needs a rematch.
If he was going to do something to make the win undebatable, he shouldve done it this time. He decreases now.

If Taylor beats Lopez, are we sure he stays at 140? Looks like he had a good camp for this fight but he's been talking about 147 for awhile now. Might only be two options.

Decisions, decisions. Loma is the least dangerous on paper, but he also beat Haney already. Stevenson fight has more unknowns. Winner of Taylor-Lopez might be too big for him.

Hence my counterpoint: being the better fighter in a fight should be enough to deserve the win.

1. I didnt say he was the better fighter.
2. I did say he didnt do enough.
Simple. All cleared up. You feel like he beat Haney. That's fine. But this was no blowout.
My point is he shouldve done more, to make it clear. He didnt press when it seems like he couldve finished haney, or got a kd at east. He stalled his action too much.
That allowed Haney to stay in there and keep throwing, which he did. And lomas ribs looked like burger for it.
so give the win to whomever you like; its a debate. Nothing like his match vs Nakatani or even Linares or Campbell. We know who won those, and nobody argued.
Therefore, he didnt do enough to make it clear.

Why would he rematch Loma after admitting in the corner in the late rounds that he had no answer for Loma and after the majority of the boxing world gave Loma the W?
Why fight the younger and more talented Shakur who would be a heavy favorite?
Why move up to 140 where Haney's lack of power to keep guys like Teofimo honest would be exposed and possible risk getting knocked out cold?
Haney most likely takes a tuneup in either weightclass and tells Bob he aint cut out for these "options" just yet.
