Its the closest thing to same-day weigh ins and I will support it regardless of whose fighting. It should be normalized for that reason.

Boxing has never been with rehydration clauses and all this other bs..

the great thing is Ryan performed extremely well at the box office and now he clearly will not have to partake in any shenanigans going forward.

Rematch at 140 with no rehydration or go screw yourself selling 200k chump..

and shame on showtime for their biased announcing and slanted coverage in general.. largely ignoring the rehydration clause and the clear difference in Ryan’s appearance.. Ryan was clearly too cut up and skinny.. absolutely disgusting..

It used to be I want to beat this guy at his best.. now its pions championing a guy that’s looking to beat severely handicapped opponents because he’s threatened by their talent.
Boxing never had rehydration clauses because for most of its history there were same-day weigh ins. This is the closest we get to that. Boxing has weight classes to try and standardize in ring weight (that being the equalized variable). Rehydration clauses get us as close to that as possible, and should be supported in all cases.
