hopkins fighting for bigger bucks leads to him destroying his opponent. look what he did to tito when he had that 150k from golden palace.com for the advertising on is back, bet it on himself to beat trinidad, he fought like a man on fire.

and look what he did to joppy, when they had that 50k bet that joppy wouldn't make it the distance. god only knows how joppy didn't quit or go down but it was one of the worse beatings you've seen in boxing. joppy's head and face were totally rearranged. there have been articles of the commissions not wanting or letting boxers make personal bets like that because of the damage that hopkins did to joppy in that fight, mostly due to the fact that the fight should've been stopped but no one on joppys side wanted him to lose the fight and the money.


so you know he's going to put it on roy this time around for sure. and you know hopkins is going to get that money, along with all that pent up aggression and dislike for roy, it's dead man walking as far as i can see it with roy going into this fight. jones doesn't have the same level of reflexes to rely on and he doesn't have and real base in traditional boxing and defense to fall back on, so once the speed and reflexes get compromised, somewhere from the 3rd or 4th round on, he's going to be a very hittable target for the very precise and accurate hopkins, and if hopkins as always gets his positioning on the inside, you know he's going to do work, while jones usually waits for the ref to separate him form the clinch.

hopkins by tko somewhere around the 10th round, maybe sooner. 50/50 isnt enough for hopkins liking, he's going to take the 60%, thinking it's the whole pie..........

They're both light heavies, correct?.. Roy said he is coming in light vs Green, so may only be something like high 170s. Dropping back to LH could mean only dropping a couple of pounds.
