I for one am happy this fight as made. I like both guys, but I also don't want them fighting any of the younger fighters like Dawson. I'd rather see Dawson take on someone like Cloud or something.
That being said if they both win their fights in December I hope after this fight they can walk away from the sport. I doubt they will but that would be great for their last fight. I just wish it wasn't on PPV.Comment

Don't get this forum sometimes. Joe Calzaghe fights Roy Jones and he's picking on old fighters and disrespecting a legend and fighting a shot man. BHop does the same coming of a dominant ass whooping of Kelly Pavlik and is in the top 5 P4P and suddenly Roy's not shot anymore and will beat him? Then you got some jokers on the forum who going the opposite and are ridiculing and dissing BHop for fighting a shot past prime fighter saying it won't do a thing for his legacy...but seriously, BHops legacy is cemented...he is a legend and that is a fact. Forgive him for wanting one final big pay day and to sign off by beating the only man to decisively beat him. Also why diss him and Joe for fighting a past prime Roy? It's Roy's fault, he doesn't have to fight anymore. BHop by TKO. He does have power unlike some people think, ask Pavlik and heck wasn't Calzaghe on his backside in round 1 to him? He's stopped Glen Johnson, Oscar De La Hoya (yeah he was smaller than him, but he'd never been stopped prior to it), Tito Trinidad (where he was a massive underdog and he remains the ONLY man to stop Tito) and he also dropped Antonio Tarver. Styles make fights dude I know. But styles has nothing to do with fans saying Roy is shot and should retire....then suddenly saying he's gonna beat BHop. Or fans saying BHop can't crack despite having knocked down and knocked out some very respectable dudes. Styles hasn't got anything to do with people dissing Joe or BHop for fighting a guy who is past his prime. That's all I'm saying. And to be honest, I'm looking forward to this fight and want to see it happen.Comment

50/50 it will be
Hopkins has never been KO'ed let alone decisively been beat by anyone but Roy by decision. Hopkins has never been swollen, cut/bleed or really hurt. One of Jones jr's keys to victory is to get Hop moving and make him tired in the late rate rounds. I doubt Jones gets a KO. Maybe a stoppage but even then that's by a very very long shot.
On the flip side, Jones has lost 5 fights, 2 by way of KO, two being by decision and one by DQ. Jones is statistically more likely to lose by KO than Hopkins. I'm surprised Jones went this route seeing he hasn't KO'ed anyone recently other than the overly hyped Jeff Lacy which was by TKO.
I see the fight going all 12 for the season ATG vets with both of them getting a well deserved 50/50 fair share.
The hype of the fight should be an ATG feature. The 24/7 (assuming they will do it) should go down as the best since Mayweather De La Hoya.Comment
