Why not? He knows he can't hurt Tarver as bad as Tarver can hurt him.

Hopkins is ignorant - for years he, and only he, felt he was in the prime negotiator position when in fact it was ALWAYS Roy. So Bhop's unfeasible/unrealistic demands went unmet - YOU CANT BLAME ROY FOR THAT ITS BUSINESS.

Roy is still good, far less "shot" than people think, and he looks wonderful fighting former Calzaghe victims... but he's done nothing significant for years against a top fighter except get beaten up by Joe. That was a slaughter, and Joe isn't anywhere near prime. On paper at least, 'Nard wins.
lol, what made joe not be any where near his prime? all those wars he got into? what did he do different in his prime? viciously knock people out by a 50% increase? joe was in his prime, no matter if he was 36, you better believe it.

I favor Hopkins, but not by much. Glad he's taking a tune up to get the rust off.

What makes you say that? He went up against a young bomber in Pavlik, did he not? Maybe Pavlik wasn't in his weight class, but not by that much. It was also at a catchweight. Pavlik is much, much younger, yet Bernard took it. He was going to fight a very solid cruiserweight, and you say he's afraid of Tarver? Come on...
