Don't get this forum sometimes. Joe Calzaghe fights Roy Jones and he's picking on old fighters and disrespecting a legend and fighting a shot man. BHop does the same coming of a dominant ass whooping of Kelly Pavlik and is in the top 5 P4P and suddenly Roy's not shot anymore and will beat him? Then you got some jokers on the forum who going the opposite and are ridiculing and dissing BHop for fighting a shot past prime fighter saying it won't do a thing for his legacy...but seriously, BHops legacy is cemented...he is a legend and that is a fact. Forgive him for wanting one final big pay day and to sign off by beating the only man to decisively beat him. Also why diss him and Joe for fighting a past prime Roy? It's Roy's fault, he doesn't have to fight anymore. BHop by TKO. He does have power unlike some people think, ask Pavlik and heck wasn't Calzaghe on his backside in round 1 to him? I don't think anyone could actually say that without lying to themselves. Big difference in the Jones that beat Ruiz and the Jones vs Tarver/Johnson. He should have pulled a 2 year Mayweather and left the game to recover, just as he said he should have.

His last fight that he lost vs Joe calSloppy he looked bad, a cut and age got to him as Joe's known ability is to slap/ "tag" (Olympic style boxing) for 12 rounds to a UD. Jones lost. Fast forward to now. He beat a never has been Lacy.

Jones hasn't done anything vs a P4P fighter in a long time. POINT was that I'm trying to be fair as I like Hopkins and Jones both.

Roy may simply be good enough to have tried to fight on. In retrospect, it may have been foolish, but he tried. Roy looked weird to me in the Calzaghe fight, in spots. Looked kinda frozen at times. Can you agree that he could have been more active? It simply was a mess of a fight. The cut didn't help. Think it was his first, or at least on that scale. And he didn't just beat Lacy, he toyed with him. I like both Jones and Hopkins myself, so it is out there.

I think Bernard probably wins this. Roy is still good, far less "shot" than people think, and he looks wonderful fighting former Calzaghe victims... but he's done nothing significant for years against a top fighter except get beaten up by Joe. That was a slaughter, and Joe isn't anywhere near prime. On paper at least, 'Nard wins.
