Not walk away from the table today

If the parties were confident that a deal would eventually be reached, then yes, waiting until Feb 16 would be fine.

But obviously that is not the case. So DLH is representing Garcia's interests, and doesnt want him to waste a month waiting for a contract that maybe he thinks is never coming. Technically he's not wrong, but he should have done it privately, not publicly

The hell do you mean "WASTE" another month?

What would be wasted? The fight has already promoted itself and is the biggest fight of the year by far. It's a sell out arena and probably close to 500k PPV's if not more.

      Both fighters are already training.

Nothing would be wasted if DLH waited for the court outcome on Feb 16th. Your hatred for Haymon has blinded you and you are no better than an NSB hugger

Waiting to Feb 16th doesn't hurt anything regarding missing a beat with this fight.

Provide all times he's said this and if it's a reasonable amount of x, then it's fair to consider it when he does it. Without sources, anyone can say anything any anytime.

You are right. I’ll provide source. I typically do but someone predicted this would happen exactly how it did so I went along.
But fair is fair so I’ll be sure to be doing that.

          This is the bottom line.

No one needs to walk away from the table 3 months prior to an agreed up date

You stand in the pocket and work out what few details need to be worked out. Period.

You obviously dont understand what Im saying.

For whatever reason, DLH seems to have doubts as to if the fight is going to happen. Maybe he's right, maybe he's wrong. Who cares? But as Garcia's promoter. if he has doubts then he is acting properly by trying to move this forward, because if the fight doesnt get made even after Feb 16, then he wasted a month waiting when instead he could have been negotiating with other opponents and securing a TV date for his fighter.

Stop taking everything so personal. Its not about you.

My bad for misinterpreting your message.

I'm very passionate about this as boxing has faltered the last few years. I was going to be ringside for Spence-Crawford and I plan on being ringside for this one.

It upsets me when I hear about fighters/promoters walking away from the table; especially when there's plenty of time to strike a deal. Boxing is a dying sport. This type of behavior has to stop if we expect the sport to continue forward.

I know what you mean. Its extremely frustrating when these fights cant seem to get made. I would love nothing better than to bust out my credit card for Fury-Joshua, or Canelo-Benevidez, or Spence-Crawford, or Davis-Garcia, or a dozen other fights. The system in its current form is broken

Here we go again, fighting with people who have been in the game.
