Even dumber then. ODH is NOT a household name in the UK. You are an idiot if you say otherwise. Manny and Mayweather are bigger names. Go on the name the countries outside North America where he is big. I have pretty much lived in every continent and I can tell you Mayweather and Manny are by miles bigger names in Africa, Middle-eat and Asia. but then again I forgot these parts of the world don't count in your tiny British island mindset. Another ignorant Brit who only knows Florida and Spain. GTFO lol

He is. You’re taking nonsense. Oscar could probably come out retirement now and sell out any arena in the UK.

I’ve probably been to more countries than you can name.

You a sound very emotional kid, it’s a typical sign of fanboyism.

Since you are so critical of nationalities where exactly are you from?

And then vice versa for Floyd?

I get the numbers argument but I don’t support it. If you solely go off numbers Floyd and Pac were bigger stars than Mike. That just simply wasn’t the case. I don’t think they’re the be all and end all to determine star power. I think you have to analyse why they were such big stars and what that was dependent on.

I just don’t think Floyd had the same magnetism that Mike, Ali or Oscar had. I think he played the game better than all 3 in terms of maximising your earning potential but I don’t think he was a bigger star.
        Of course. But he didn't.

If Adrien Broner beat Maidana, Porter, Spence, Crawford, Canelo, Mayweather and Fury he'd probably be a bigger star than all of them combined.

We're talking about things that didn't happen so I'm not understanding the point.

Ali and Tyson, yes I agree.

Oscar, no. Floyd is definitely a bigger star than Oscar was.

I mean he was as big as you can possibly be without it but Oscar had just an amazing story, Oscar turned pro as a STAR already if you remember his Olympic Run and the story surrounding it. Also had the Look and a well spoken kid from a great Family "Golden Boy" he was just a very marketable guy and also I do think his skills in the Ring gets a bit underrated and overlooked

I think he would be similar to Ryan actually if he had Social Media, the Ladies Loved Oscar for sure, he would have Beautiful Women in his crowds too ESPECIALLY fighting in Los Angeles

Oscar would be big today as he was yesterday.

The reason being, he's always been nourished by the establishment. You don't get to buy The Ring and create a major company like Golden Boy if you aren't already endorsed by the establishment.

On a secondary note, I've always seen him like a big-headed, fake-smiled nincompoop. Thus I never understood all of this "good look" stuff, which says more about the taste of the average chick than anything else.

Nah AB never had that type of magnetism. Look how quickly his star declined after the Maidana loss too.

Oscar’s star didn’t decline despite several big fight losses. That did happen. I think that proves how big of a stat he truly was.

Another thing I’d add is look how successful GBP was compared to Mayweather promotions. Oscar was able to use his name to create far more stars than Floyd did.

Of course, he can sell out any UK arena. Did you dumb Brits not flock to pay to see Fury fight the old bum Chisora for the 3rd time? I guess anything to make up for the miserable lonely life in the UK, that or get drunk to mask the pain of your lonely existence.

You know want to know where I am from? It's a place where we live well and have lots of money. AKA not the UK!

                Goodbye sad Brit lol

Because Broner was following the Mayweather marketability blue print. If he had those wins on his record? He'd be astronomically huge. But of course he didn't. And the point is it's irrelevant because we're talking ifs, but's and maybe's, I deal in absolutes (That's a joke ) But you get the point.

You're putting this stock into Oscar losing fights, when that was never a factor in why he sold what he sold. It doesn't mean anything.

Doesn’t that somewhat prove my point though, Broner was following the Mayweather blueprint and one loss essentially derailed any star he had. The main reason I don’t think Floyd was as big as star as Oscar was is because I don’t believe he could overcome 5 losses and still remain a star.

I think that’s what sets Ali, Mike and Oscar apart, their stardom was far less dependent on success.
