yeah they also weren’t pros as teenagers. Hopkins turned pro very late and Roy Jones went from weighing as little as 155 to heavyweight as a pro. When he was 15, same age Canelo was for his pro debut, he won the junior Olympics at 119 pounds. The height is an excuse. Canelo has been walking into the ring the same weight as a light heavy since he was 23. Canelo lost due to skill not size.

Non heavyweight makes 175 limit. That is complete nonsense, Artur is a light heavy, he is even shorter than Bivol, just strongly built guy.

So tell me 3 other people who went from 147 to 175. Matter of fact, forget 147! Tell me 3 people that fought 154, 160, 168, and 175, at an elite level.

            Montell Griffen was 5’7

I hope Bivol will agree to make the fight on ESPN. It is the biggest fight for both.

I love Roy Jones Jr., and I'm sure Canelo would be honored to be mentioned in the same breath as RJJ. However RJJ never was a Champion @ 154. He won titles at 160, 168, 175, and HW! He's all that, and then some. I have to give props to Canelo, for titles at 154, 160, Undisputed @ 168, and a title @ 175! But he's not a real LHW! He should stay @ 168!

**** off with this. Kovalev in the ams, when he was the age that Canelo was when he turned pro, was 140lbs.

stop acting like Canelo was a grown man.

Exceptional fighter, but a natural LHW. He didn't go from 154 to 175, like Canelo! Canelo is too small for 175! Not every fighter can do what guys like Mayweather, Pacquiao, and Crawford did! Canelo has won titles @ 154, 160, Undisputed @ 168, and 175, but Kovalev was old and broken! 175 is not for Canelo!

You said to name a 175lb champion who was 5’8 and I named one who was 5’7. He didn’t go from 154 to 175 because he didn’t turn pro at 14 years old. Stop moving the goalposts

”Canelo is 5’8 he’s not a natural light heavyweight!!”
”Griffin is 5’7, he IS a natural light heavyweight.”
