Fortune favors the brave. Morrell is a secondary champ, but this could be a star-making move. He's got the skills right now to compete with Benavidez. I think he should take his shot.

I saw this coming, like a train on a regular schedule.
Why, because Benavidez wants to be active, maybe he wants a new house or something.

Everyone knows either Plant or Charlo would avoid him like a plague.
So there's no way those fights could happen for him anytime soon.
I see Plant and Charlo preferring to fight each other rather than face Benavidez.

Morrell is an easy pick for Benavidez for his next fight. It's heaven sent.

        Don't back down now, Morrell.

If you lose so what? Just learn from it and become an even better fighter going forward.

I agree with that. Losing once, twice, 1x, should not be the be all and end all of one's career in boxing. If you lose once and not able to come back strong, then it just means you really don't have it. Finding out early is better than finding out late.

Even Morrell's current trainer can't stop this fight from happening.
Lots of nasty things have already been hurled at each other's camp.

I don't see this fight as a total mismatch, as I've indicated.
It's a huge fight for both. Could potentially become a FOTY clash.

Well, Morrell, win or lose, could potentially surpass heavily-hyped so-called rising stars' standing in the boxing stage. I would suggest he takes it and take advantage of the opportunity. Use Benavidez's name and use the rivalry strategy, which he himself had already started. Fight could end up in a trilogy. Who knows?

Take the fight, win, draw or loss, is going to put you out there.

So Snr has upped the ante. Morrell has to stop using Jnr's name for publicity. Morrell only has 7 pro fights & none of his opponents are remotely at David Benavidez's level. Is he gonna raise? I honestly think he will. I think, like a lot of the Cuban guys, Morrell is convinced he just is better than the top guys. I think Morrell will go for gold, but, my God, that is a raise.

They need to let Morrell develop more, I don't think he's ready for that fight at this stage, too soon imo.

Many of the unforgettable fights that went viral (in today's lingo) were not those with one fighter winning in dominating fashion.
It was those with see-saw battles, almost a draw, or where one fighter or the other gets dominated, kd'd once, twice,
but survives, get even and wins the fight. You can't be a star without those moments in your fights. Winning in boring fashion
is possible but very rare. And in that case you capitalize on hate and people watch and pay to see you lose.
