hopkins is one of the few fighters out there hated on almost as much as floyd.

end of the day how can u critizise him for fighting DLH? BHop was one belt away from being the first undisputed MW champ since marvin hagler and becoming the only fighter EVER to unify the 4 major titles. DLH held that last title, so hopkins whupped that ass and made history, and got his career biggest payday at the same time. hopkins was a fighter who acctually needed a payday too since he was screwed over big time by promoters during his long reign as ibf champion.

also hopkins didnt choose to fight smaller guys, tito entered the MW tournament and held a belt just like DLH. and some of the other smaller guys hopkins fought it was simply cus he cleaned out the division, and there wasnt much left. he kept defending cuz he wanted to reach 20 defenses, but there isnt liek there were other guys out there he didnt take on or that he singled out guys who were coming up in weight.

Bernard ruled 160 with an Iron fist,he didn't make DLH or Tito jump up 2 weight classes to fight,Tito was a legite 160 champ by pounding Joppy into the canvas!!floyd has no elite welterweight on his resume!!There's no Mosley,Cotto,Clottey,Margarito,Quintana or Collazo on floyd's resume, not even Berto c'mon, how can he be the best welterweight with none of them on his resume??

so im just saying, street bully, and other hopkins fans, you cant critic floyd
not to mention this is a tune up
          Chronic.

It isn't about seeing Floyd fight bigger/smaller/whatever guys. That is not the issue. The issue is that Floyd must lose. He MUST.

If Floyd fights young guys, people will say that his opponents are green.
If he fights experienced guys, those opponents were over the hill.
If he fights big guys, they were slow.
If he fights small guys, they are undersized.

You're going to have to let this go, because the issue isn't boxing-related. It is personal. And if you really read the posts, you can see the subtext for what it is.

How is it possible for someone to move through five weight divisions, yet always be fighting smaller guys? Have you heard anyone mention how much weight FMJ gave up when castillo came in the ring as a welterweight? Or when gatti came in as a middleweight? Or Oscar as a SMW?
PBF was at 140, and asked Shane for a fight at 147. Is that brought discussed?
PBF was chasing Oscar since he was at 130. By the time Oscar agrees, it is said that Oscar is past his prime.
          PBF-Marquez is a size mismatch. PBF-Williams? Perfect!

Mayweather is criticized fo not "waiting one more day" to take a Pacquiao fight. What would be said if Floyd called out pacquiao if Pac was the one coming off a 2 year layoff? Realistically?
Shane was active and wanted tune-ups to face Floyd. Yet, wanted to fight a 2-year inactive Floyd.

This competition is garbage: JMM, Delahoya, Hatton, Baldomir
This competition is terrific: JMM, Delahoya, Hatton, D. Diaz

Buddy, from my brief time on this board, I can see that the key issue is something broader than "boxing". I would recomend that you not **** your head against the wall.

How did Floyd get the welterweight belts without fighting top welterweights?

Does Bernard have control over how strong the division is?

Bernard stayed at 160 for the record title defenses...
