Damn! At this rate Thurman is gonna end up being a better promoter than boxer.

Is fish and chip a thing in the U.S now? Wasn't when I was living there many years ago. I thought us Brits had fish and chips under wraps.

If I was DAZN I'd be referencing PPVs like this heavily in my advertising.

Considering that he'd just been talking about the fear of catching COVID was keeping crowds away from attending fights.

His remark about the cost of living is very accurate, and here in Canada it's even worse, because we have a half-wit as Premier. There was a protest the other day of over 70.000 HUGE long-distance trucks going all the way across the country to Ottawa to protest, and conveniently Trudeau "vanished" having just caught COVID....Hmmm....!!

Of course it's the same for the US, you guys also have a very dim bulb "leading" the nation. .I recall the US "election" coverage where we'd see 50-60,000 turn up for *****, and more thousands backing for miles, that couldn't get in. And then we'd see *****'s "crowd"...Actually we wouldn't see it, maybe only 8-10 people, and on at least one occasion I saw the huge election truck with the *****-Harris name plastered all over it, but not a single attendee., except a couple of cameramen and a cyclist riding by in the background..
unless his friends start licking each others clothes that shouldn't prove to be a problem - more so 5-6 guys stuck in a room - but guess what, omicron is like the flu in symptoms (esp so if you have the jab) - it's not ebola. If its a real issue they can stipulate negative test before coming over

Thurman isn't really a draw himself and he's the only non Latina on there.Plus most of them are way past it, living off their name or both. It's a PBC show alright.Pretty Bad Card.

Keith Thurman looks to have declined massively. He is from the overhyped era, with the likes of Danny Garcia and Adrien Broner, who just aren't relevant anymore. Watching Thurman in a gimme-fight like this, in which he will get a gift decision even if he loses, is not PPV-worthy. Just consider, Mario Barrios has spent over half of his career at Super Featherweight and Featherweight, while Thurman has spent periods of his fighting at Light Middleweight. What a horrible mismatch.

At this price point you'd be expecting a hotly anticipated showdown between two elite fighters at the peak of their power, not some has been coming off a loss and two years inactivity fighting an underweight opponent who's A coming up in weight and B was himself knocked out by a much smaller man in his last fight. Even if they were charging 10 bucks it would still be insulting to charge for this bill. I hope nobody buys it and I hope Thurman loses in the most humiliating way possible

The shyt that gets on PPV these last few years. Its not like the numbers are good either but I guess they dont need to be at that price.

This won't generate numbers no matter what they say or how much they try to promote it.

If he's making that point, that they risk their lives, that's true, a good point. But then every fight can be PPV.

We truly respect all who get in that ring, it's the most dangerous sport in the world, always has been so.

From the argument of high quality fights matching the best only for PPV, then no, Thurman-Barrios is definitely not pay per view quality, even if it actually turns out to be an exciting fight.
