I agree this fight sells, you could put it in Cowboys stadium, Minute Maid park, or Raiders stadium in Vegas and you will get a huge crowd. It does 1 million on PPV. Lol, "Golovkin raised his hand". Yeah, he did that in 2015, and after the 2nd fight too. But he was too dangerous, now he's dealt with injuries for 2 yeas, hasn't fought in 12 months, and is gonna be over 40. All of a sudden he looks like an excellent opponent.

Charlo isn't a bad opponent. Even though he's wildly unproven, he can punch, which is more than we can say for anyone since G. I have no idea what Charlo is doing. I guess if he was smart, he would have started trying to grow into a 168 fighter as soon as Canelo rumors started circulating last year. Charlo has good height, but he's lanky at MW. He could use a tune up or at least a few months of training to go up to 168. He needs to bulk up, especially his mid section.

Canelo has navigated his career to where he is now the top dog in boxing, but his only win against an A+ fighter is GGG. I believe he was given a gift against Lara and Trout, even though he knocked Trout down. Although champions, Callum Smith, Billy Joe Saunders, and Caleb Plant aren't A+ fighters and he was expected to beat all of them. Kovalev was already shot. To be considered a great fighter, he has to test himself against fighters, that he probably will beat, but the expectation of winning won't be as high as the afore mentioned fighters. Benavidez is in his weight class, Beterbiev and Bivol is one weight class above, of which Canelo already held a belt, but something tells me that his next fight won't be against any of the three. Like the article said, it probably will be Charlo or GGG (past his prime), fighters below his weight or Makubu. He's a very good fighter but I'm not falling into the hype that he's the best. If he fight Benavidez, Beterbiev, and Bivol, and beats at least two of them, then I'll jump on the bandwagon. Until then, he's just an A fighter, not A+.
