It is the best fight sales wise because Charlo brings in a different fan base. You combine those two and you get decent to pretty good numbers. Benavidez and Canelo’s fans are basically the same fan. Even though I know Canelo’s going to win I want to see this fight. I think the pre fight build up will be great.

Charlo is perfectly fine opponent for my tastes. I don't think he should be at 160 anymore, it seems like he's weight drained there. It would probably be ideal for him to have already had a fight at SMW but whatever. The time is now to make the money.

Something tells me it will be a fairly competitive fight with some savagery.

By the looks of it, Canelo wouldnt leave the SMW division until 2023. If ever.

Canelo has navigated his career to where he is now the top dog in boxing, but his only win against an A+ fighter is GGG. I believe he was given a gift against Lara and Trout, even though he knocked Trout down. Although champions, Callum Smith, Billy Joe Saunders, and Caleb Plant aren't A+ fighters and he was expected to beat all of them. Kovalev was already shot. To be considered a great fighter, he has to test himself against fighters, that he probably will beat, but the expectation of winning won't be as high as the afore mentioned fighters. Benavidez is in his weight class, Beterbiev and Bivol is one weight class above, of which Canelo already held a belt, but something tells me that his next fight won't be against any of the three. Like the article said, it probably will be Charlo or GGG (past his prime), fighters below his weight or Makubu. He's a very good fighter but I'm not falling into the hype that he's the best. If he fight Benavidez, Beterbiev, and Bivol, and beats at least two of them, then I'll jump on the bandwagon. Until then, he's just an A fighter, not A+.
