    1. Yes
    2. Maybe - Beterbiev-Benavidez at 175 I'm going for Artur in hellacious fight. Beterb has never seen fast hands like David's since amateurs and David has never been hit so hard before. Love to see that.

Beterbiev is a legitimate fight, despite his age. He's bigger and stronger than GGG. Maybe not as fast as Golovkin but there're similarities. I was waiting to see Golovkin fight Murata to see how well he's aged. Anyway, the Beterbiev fight is the only fight I want to see right now. Benavidez is going to be fighting Lemieux, and in my opinion, that's a dangerous fight for Benevidez. Anyone who comes in, squared up, looking to trade like Benavidez, is looking for a world of hurt fighting a guy like Lemieux, who can send a man straight to hell with one punch.

This fight is ****** and makes no sense. Canelo should just give what’s his name a payday as his tune up fight when he comes back in May. Him going up to fight a way bigger fighter for a meaningless belt and risking hurting his body when he comes back to fight Benavidez at the end of 2023 makes little sense. Why risk his career for something that won’t do much for his resume

2a. trouble is that he has already won a legit belt at 175 so moving up to fight a scrub looks like he's avoiding Bivol and Beterbiev.
2b. My money is on him fighting Joe Smith Jr if he wins vs Smith. That's a very marketable fight.
          At least, Briedes was available

I'd say that in a pound for pound sense that Makabu is better than Chris Eubanks Jr. So this would be like a WW stepping up to fight Eubanks at 160. Except I do believe the jump from 168 to 200 is much harder than from 147 to 160.
I consider anyone who gets KO’d by Tony Belloo as having a subpar chin.

Didn't Alvared win a title at 147 as well ?

Does that mean that Reynoso is working behind his back?

I think Andrade, Charlo, Morrell Jr., and Benavidez, are all "legit" fights @ 168! I don't see any reason to leave 168! Another thing, if he's fighting @ CW, or LHW, do the sport a favor, and please drop the belts @ 168, so we can have new champions!

Simple and short, you can't keep four belts hostage, while going up in weight to fight a nobody, at least vacate two titles, and entice Charlo and Andrade to move up to 168 and capture the vacant belts.

For the exception of a potential foray into the Heavyweight division; Hopefully, Canelo retires after this Makabu fight because there is absolutely no demand or buzz about it from average boxing fans.

If he is not going to give us boxing fans the fights that they want to see then why keep fighting? Oh how I miss the days of Oscar De La Hoya, Pernell Whitaker and Sugar Ray Leonard.

They gave us boxing fans the fights that we wanted to see no matter what the cost and they all took risks.
