You can't be the number 1 guy in the division without beating the best the division has to offer. Porter is a good start, but you have to continue fighting the best. He needs Spence just as much as Spence needs him

I just checked boxrec, Terence Crawford is now the #1. welterweight on the planet ; the website had him around 3-4 before this dominant victory over Shawn Porter -- who Errol barely beat my majority-decision.

Reports from Vegas state that Errol ran out of Mandalay Bay after Terence KO Porter and was last spotted on i154 ; he was trying to pick-up a bum and swerving along the way -- police tried to stop Spence but he was driving too fast on a yellow Lambo.

If he would fight and beat Jaron Ennis, then I'll say he's the best welterweight, not before that.

Spence, danny and porter already did.

Bud vs spence is the last piece at 147

A unified Welterweight champion has been pedestalized by "fans" and the media and it appears as though he doesn't want the fight. He's going to let the fans and media speak for him and he's well protected because he's on the "other side of the street." Bullcrap.

We still don't know the extent of the accident and we'll probably never know. If anything, people are holding on to the Spence of old....the Spence that we may very well never see again. Remember how they lied and lied about his injuries saying he just had a "few lacerations" and a "couple of broken teeth." Again, bullcrap!

Until he heals up, he needs to vacate! The same should've applied to Thurman when he was doing this same crap. It's clear that the Welterweights win more than one title and they just disappear...I guess it's a PBC thing. Spence clowned Thurman for always being injured and inactive, now look at him. Lol

Guys are all on Errol's sac but won't acknowledge the man (Bud) who has remained clean, active and productive since he was ever ranked in the sport. It's so dumb that fans and the media are waiting around to see the Spence of old, but that's the same man who drank and blew up in weight between fights, spent most of the camp losing weight and didn't take things seriously at all....he just depended on his size and power.

Crawford on the other hand has remained sober and active through his entire reign. I remember the car incident at the local body shop in Nebraska but he's kept a clean profile since. Errol has been in an accident (of which we still don't know the fullest extent of the details) and suffered a torn retina. How much "Spence" does he have left in the tank?

Crawford's consistency beats most if not all of these guys. Seems as though most (if not all) PBC fighters take looooong ass breaks between fights or they're suddenly "injured" for most of the year (e.g., Thurman, Spence, etc). Think about it...a lot of these PBC disappear after fights and suddenly have so many reasons for NOT fighting. Smh

None of that matters today. Spence is unified and ready to fight next. I dont wanna hear no excuses from bud side.

He is out of his top rank deal. Make the fight

I'm not arguing that it isn't Spence's own fault he's in the situation he's in, but these dudes acting like they don't need each other is re-tarded. These are champs, not prospects. You're not "the man" in the division without beating the best in the division or unifying. Fans should be tired of the posturing by both guys and them acting as if they don't need one another. Neither one is a star or on Canelo's level where they can just fight anybody and it's a success, they still have to build on their names

It's obvious he's just fed up with the whole thing and is hard to blame him when you consider the amount of acid people have tried to pour on his career to make Spence look good.

These same people who demanded he fight Porter first are now saying Porter was softened up and they'll say the same if and when he beats Spence.

All of that said, it's the fight to make at 147. Boots and Ortiz aren't quite there yet.

Spence stops Bud. He won't take it easy on him, like Shawn did.
