Yupp. And, pretty much no one in the boxing world considers Cotto's win over Shane a controversial win. There are barely any on Bscene even that think Mosley won. So while it wasn't convincing, it was definitely a solid win in a big fight. That's something Quartey and some of the other "very good but not great" guys didn't do.

I agree, but history won't. When people draw up All time WW lists they're not gonna go, "oh well I think Quartey beat Oscar" and put him higher. For better or worse, that's not how it goes.

For the record, I thought it was clear as day that Quartey beat Oscar. I admittedly have never seen the Forrest fight.

Beating Pacquiao will not "catapult" him to the top 100 ATG (LMFAO!). Here's the truth. Cotto is the larger man. Manny beating Cotto is more significant than the other way around.

And the brutal loss to Margarito, the controversial decision over Clottey, the running from Shane in the championship rounds and the suspect chin all keep him from Top 100 ATG status IMO. No way in hell will he break into the Top 100. He'll go on to lose his biggest fights before he retires (Paquiao, Shane & Margarito rematches, Mayweather).
