Off the top of my head Cuevas and Qawi are both less talented than Cotto, probably not as accomplished either.

Whats so great about beating Margarito? Williams beat him very clearly, Santos beat him, and Mosley destroyed him. Cotto was a 2-1 favorite for a reason, almost everyone expected a Cotto win and he couldn't do it.

Also Winky Wright is a formadible oppoenent and gave Hopkins a good fight. P Will dominated him for 12 rounds. A feat Cotto is yet to accomplish againsta top fighter. You think Williams would arguable lose to Clottey or get TKOed by Margarito?

It isn't so much hate but hypocrisy. A good example of this, unofficial weight doesn't aply to Pacquiao/ Marquez but it sure as hell applies to Cotto (We've seen his sig). Pull is a notorious hypocrite and he doesn't do a good job of hiding it.

i like cotto. he's a good fighter. he has a decent enough resume.

he's nothing special or great though like some make him out to be.



name me that one fight you've seen of cotto that made you say , "wow! this guy is great! i don't see anyone beating this guy."

every great fighter has had a moment like that. in fact most good fighters have a moment/time in their career where people said that.

A clear cut comanding win over Mosley, Margarito and a 154 belt holder would make him HOF bound.

Most of the people who vote for the Hall had Cotto winning close but clear. This thing about the Mosley fight being a robbery is spoken by Cotto haters and Mosely fans only. He doesn't need to fight Shane again. he doesn't even need to beat Margarito again. He just needs to keep racking up wins against good competition. I don't think he'll beat Pac though, so I don't know where he goes from there. he'll probably end up like Forrest, Quartey, Vargas, Castillo, Chico, Casa, etc. - the fighters from the era who deserve to be in the hall of very good.
