Comments Thread For: Fury Overcomes Two Knockdowns, Drops Wilder Three Times For Knockout in Eleven

Laughable comments. The only thing that kept Fury at bay was an interrupted training camp due his daughter being born and put in intensive care. If he hadn’t had that distraction he’d most likely have closed it earlier as he did also look tired in the latter rounds. Wilder had exactly the same issues as Wlad and neither could correct it. When your entire defence is based on leaning back due to your height and reach, it falls apart when you come across a bigger fighter. Plus Fury was correct in the pre fight - Wilder is naturally a small guy that’s padded out with more muscle. That muscle tired him after the middle of the fight. Was always going to happen if it went that far. Just like AJ and Bruno before that. Wilder could have make a great cruiserweight. He’s finished now. No way back for him from that knockout mentally. No deluded excuses to prop himself up with. Disgraceful that he showed no respect after the fight. Whatever respect he gained from everyone during the fight dissipated in that moment. He’s incapable of any humility whatsoever. Weak mind.

It was a really exciting and dramatic fight, and I'm pleased the better man won, again. IMO, this makes the trilogy 3-0 Fury and puts him on the way to ATG status if he can beat Usyk and AJ (he's still a very good fight).
Props to Wilder for a good effort. It'd be nice if he showed a bit of sportsmanship and accepted his defeats to Fury with a bit of maturity.

Great fight but not really impressed with the boxing. Wilder again like a walking (backwards) punchbag with zero movement. Fury has the better of him for sure but this is further confirmation that this is a very poor era of HW.
Usyk is a class act and actually moves but he's a little too small for Fury imo. But he'd dance around him all day if he had a taller frame and reach.
Best fighter on Fury's resume remains a 39-yr old Klitshko. Compare that to Lennox Lewis at the same age.Vita likes this.

Things could have gone differently if -
1. Wilder had come in at 225
2. Wilder used his jab more
3. Wilder had kept up the body attack that was proving effective in the first round.
4. Wilder had kept his hands up instead of by his waist.
5. Wilder had learned to clinch when hurt.
These are all basic mistakes that should never be made at the elite level

your basis that wilder is no good is because he hasn’t fought anyone good “on paper” except a highly rated ortiz and fury, yet you’re a fan of joshua who lost to guys he supposed to beat and had all the major advatanges over on paper.
Clearly that paper has some basis and evidences why it is written in the first place.
wilder is on top of the heavy weight ranks because nobody was knocking them people out like he did left and right. If you think it’s easy to just avoid his right hand then why was he able to land 4 knockdowns against a guy who easily outboxed Klitchko? Same guy joshua fought and had a life and death fight a year later?
do you think joshua will stand up against wilder’s right hand when he’s getting chin check by lesser powerful guys? Or you think usyk and ruiz are more powerful? Again i’d love to hear your fight breakdown on paper, whatever. Just wanna hear your analysis.
where’s wilder on your heavyweight ranks? Do you think he should be rated lower than ruiz? And joshua?
good post man ^^

After watching this 3rd fight i have nothing but respect for wilder because he went in there with a game plan from round 1. He is a very limited boxer skill wise but still gave it his all the whole fight. Had his moments and went out on his shield. What ever bs goes on outside of the ring i have nothing but respect because he puts it all on the line in the ring. It was such an entertaining fight and thats all i can ask for
another very good post
props ^^
