I must be a bona fide hard-core fan, because I'm really looking forward to this one. I see it as a genuine 50/50 fight. My head says AJ should win, but I've had a gut feeling that Usyk will pull off an upset ever since it was finalised.

Not very feel, but it's there.

Whatever, I'm a fan of both these guys, so I can sit back and enjoy the show without any fanboy angst!

One thing I’ll say is Ali was training while he was out of boxing , Tyson was actually locked up and wasn’t training when he came back . Historians always have a sneaky way of taking a swipe of other eras .

The writer makes a good point that this something that Usyk has been plotting towards for his whole career. He's not in the heavyweight division by accident, or because he ran out of challenges, the plan was always to move up to heavyweight. It's been talked about for years.

I don't buy that he's not a real heavyweight. We've got some tall timber in the division right now, but 6ft 3in would be closer to the average Heavyweight than to the average Cruiserweight. He wouldn't look small next to Parker or Whyte. And, again, he's always planned to fight in the division. This is where he believes he belongs. If he comes in at 220 pounds it's because that's where he wants to be.

            And he's got real quality.

I see it as a great fight. Though probably not an exciting fight. Joshua's skills and speed are underrated. I think the Ruiz loss taught him a lot and he's fighting with more control/IQ than before.

I reckon Joshua wins in 8 but only because I think he's the best out there. It's a real fight.

This fight slipped my mind cuz the big 3 everyone’s talking about right now, is Fury - Wilder III, Plant - Canelo, and Porter - Crawford.

personally I think he will come in light on his feet with fast combinations and timing.
joshua is a whole different kettle of fish to what usyk has faced before and he will find out that Joshua is a lot harder to beat in the ring now than he was before.....and yes he got caught against Ruiz but you must remember he was 285lb so had a lot weight behind them punches....usyk will come in a bit heavier and Joshua will come in no more than 17 stone so I expect them to be no more than than 14lbs different.
This is a real fight ladies and gentlemen and not some force fed tripe that we are getting with Tyson fury and Deontay wilder.
This is the heavyweight fight of 2021
Not to mention he was caught on his temple but a loss is a loss no excuses . I expect Joshua to make a statement he can not allow Usyk to think in there

Strange thing is when Mike Tyson was in his prime he never came across as a small heavyweight to me as he was built like a brick ****house.
