This is business. This is the negotiation of a $100m contract. Do you honestly think someone “being brash” is going to be 90% of the reason a $100m contract doesn’t go through?

We’re not talking about school-kids here. These are grown men and business people.

Hearn is right for once.......he knows Fury would want at least 50% as is said and he knows Wilder would not accept 15% 15m for the undisputed pot of at least 100m) as he offered before when Wilder had the WBC strap. If Wilder ko's Fury which is possible and wins back the WBC title and then being the only man to beat Tyson(and the money that comes with it) look for Hearn to start playing his 15% games to keep his brittle chinned fighter away from Wilder's lethal fists again. The only man who would be favourite to beat Wilder is Tyson because he did but one slip of concentration and it will be lights out for my man.

Eddie hearn needs to take the Ellerbe stance here and say there's no point fighting wilder because nobody in America knows who wilder is. His fighter is a huge star anyway. But he's only carrying out his boss's wishes who is also a legacy driven fighter and not just after the easy pay check.

Wilder should have accepted the 175 million offer

Yes indeed! Obviously Skipper didn't realize he was dealing with "grown men!" That's why the deal failed! He admitted his mistakes, and that's a good thing too!

I see what you did there mate lol. Young Edward is right because he knows that he immediately tries to undersell wilder. Good show old boy!

I’ll go even further with it and mention the obvious elephant in the room. I’m a ***ish fella with majority black American circle of friends. There is growing sentiment in black America of doing business with other black Americans much like we ***s do business. So it is my guess they there was a loyalty there to Haymon and pbc abs they saw going to Dazn with the most popular American fighter was playing into the hands of the competition. It’s worth noting that Shelly, the official manager, is himself ***ish…..and from the USA. This stance may be unpopular here on boxingscene given the attacks that are common on ***s and black Americans but that sentiment is what is driving black loyalty to pbc. It’s the same sentiment that Joshua got a king sized amount of flack for when he read his “don’t spend money in their shops” note. However, I could be wrong. But I sense the outcome of that meaning was more “strategic” than tactical….

I think there's loyalty to Haymon because of how he advises his fighters. If you notice, many of his fighters build their own promotional companies, and have successful investments, etc. You also don't see many filing lawsuits etc., like at Top Rank, or any animosity like Canelo and Oscar!

[QUOTE=DougalDylan;n30988923]Wilder wouldn't even defend against a non PBC/Haymon fighter let alone leave the country. Why in boxing only can American champions only fight with home advantage in the US ??
This is the third time Wilder will have had home advantage over Fury ?????

What other sport does this happen in if an American runner, tennis player, golfer tried to behave like that they would be laughed and ridiculed in their own country instead of just round the world like Wilder and his fake champion friends?

In your world the Olympics can only be held in the States, we can only have the US open for tennis ... you just make America look weak.

Look at Josh Taylor vs Gervonta Davis , will Davis ever defend a belt outside the States ,, no .. he could be offers 10x the money but we know he will never fight outside the States. He won't even fight Taylor in the States because Taylor ain't known there ... hey Davis fight in Scotland see who knows you there.

Millions watched super middle weight boxing when Roy Jones Jr was champ and had never heard of him or even knew he existed but they weren't Americans so that's ok?
Was Roy Jones Jr a world champion .. he was good enough .. but no way was he fighting the rest of the world go ask Steve Collins who wrote a book about it.

Wilder will go ANYWHERE ANYTIME to fight ANYONE! He’s already stated that SEVERAL times…..Don’t worry about Davis, he’ll take his chances abroad, he’s more humble and brave than you care to know….You ‘might’ be right about Roy.

Whether you’d like to admit it or not: America is the fight capital of the world! Europe is NOT! The history of the fight game begins & ends here (England had their historical roots, but it’s America that made the fight game great!)….Wilder flattened Audley in your neck of the woods, and he stated he’d be more than happy to flatten Fury there too.

To his credit Fury is a multi-national personality AND white…support WILL be there wherever he chooses to fight - maybe, just maybe he’d have trouble in certain parts of Africa - and Africa was never mentioned as a fight sight, so that was never an issue - so don’t make it one…..you should talk about promoters concerning that….Wilder is not one of those guys who’s afraid to defend his title overseas - talk to Joshua about that - he thought that England was the end all - it’s the reason why he lost his composure over here and got flattened…..pardon the late reply
