Mayweather Will Struggle With Marquez, Says Paco

We need to give the man some hope of at least putting up a good fight.

I'm thinkin' Marquez will shoot out the gate and gun it for Floyd for the first few rounds, then he'll start to slow down after he feels the hurtin' coming from Floyd's gloves.

If Juan starts to get careless in there, it could be a short night for him.

I don't see a problem with Floyd making 144. He's not the type to balloon up between fights. But he hasn't fought in almost 20 months. I think his timing is going to be off for the first few rounds against JMM. So I'd like to see JMM put a bit of pressure at the start. Then as Floyd adapts, JMM can change it up with a plan B, C or D. Whatever it takes to prevent Floyd from getting into his rhythm. My only concern is JMM's weight gain. I hope it won't affect his speed. He's gonna need all of it.

Without question about it Paco is right about the ability Marquez has, also he is a warrior and will fight with all of his heart to beat Gayweather. We have to be realistic in other way; Marquez is smaller and slower than Gayweather. There is no way Marquez will beat Gayweather because he has a small body frame, and will be very difficult to neutralize the speed of Gayweather, he will be even slower than before adding two weight division in his body. Marquez never has been a very fast boxer, now going two weights higher will struggle to maintain the same level of the fight. If Marquez fight at 130 or 135 pounds will be a different scenario, but fighting at 144 pounds will be very difficult to win that night. Gayweather will win this fight by unanimous decision. If you ask me who I am going to put all my emotions to win, that boxer will be Marquez.

This will be a very tough fight for both fighters. Mayweather has never shared the ring with a fighter that has as high a boxing IQ as himself and this will become evident come fight night. Throw in the long layoff/retirement with a distraction like allegedly shooting at somebody less than a month from the fight, and this could equate to a long night for the true P4P champ. Also I am really not buying Mayweathers babblings about him believing that Marquez is the tougher fight than PacMan, even though its true. The way Floyd says it kinda reminds me of when he was Making excuses for taking on Judah and Baldomir when guys like Cotto, Williams, Margarito and Mosely were around. In other words Mayweather is kinda notorious for taking the Easier Fights and avoiding certain fighters who can give him problems. But i think FLoyd ****ed up when deciding to fight Marquez thinking it would be easy or a tuneup fight. Pacman did the same thing in 2004 with Marquez and 5 years later the Crazy little Mexican is still looking for revenge(Viva Marquez). Like Kasparov v Deep Blue i think we are headed for a great matchup. The question is who will play the part of the Russian and Who will play the Computer.

marquez isnt "slower than reality" baldomir, "done with" de lahoya or "blown up kindergardener" hatton......hes a damn good boxer.

I know this will be a tough fight for Floyd, because he has never fought anybody as crafty as JMM. I also know for a fact that he has never fought anybody who punches from the different angles that JMM does. I think Floyd will get caught with a few of those uppercuts even though his defense is second to none.
