i know it is not realistic at this point of manny or jmm career but i would have liked to see how they perform against a judah or collazo or basically a guy who was a live ww that would be able to fight back before they got in the ring with a cotto or mayweather. i honestly believe that manny is being hyped way beyond what he really is and that his last 2 fights against world class comp he barely won if he did win and that was at a lighter weight. i dont consider that hoya or hatton at 140 to be comparable to world class ww

Judah and collazo are too dangerous and don't bring enough money.

Jmm atleast should gotten a tune up at 140 lbs tho, the ideal opponent would be nate campbell.

Roach hates the fact that JMM is getting a shot at Floyd instead of Pac and he is bitter about it. Regardless of who you think the tougher challenger is for Mayweather, JMM deserves the shot more because he has taken harder fights than Pacquiao has since their rematch.

co sign, even if jmm beating floyd is a tall order jmm totally deserves that match. as far as pac floyd would probably box the **** out of him all night, pac throws zero body punches which i think is floyds weakness he cant take it to the body and has a good chin,plus pac is very vulnerable to right hands if you notice all 3 of pacs last victims are left hand strong opponents southpaws fighting out of the conventional stance, with weak right hands and that goes for cotto too, roach knows this ,probably why theyre avoiding guys like mosley and jmm or anyone with a developed right hand. fraud would run for his life on his way to an easy ud.

this maybe wishful thinking but if anyone can pull off the upset its jmm, the dude just wins he just does, even when hes losing hes landing very hard wierd style, you dont see the puches they arent flashy like pacs are but they get in no matter what.

I think BOxingScene is capitalizing on the fact that People respond to Roach No matter if they like him or Wants HIm to Die of Herpes, like myself. Its not a love hate thing with Roach(but i do hate him) because if Roach didnt have Manny then nobody would know of him other than the gay guy who shakes alot. Might be Too Soon for that Digg. But i have to admit that when an article comes out with a big headline that says "Roach said PacMans farts smell like Adobo" you bet your ass all of us will be on here fighting about where the hell the Adobo was made. Cotto needs to stay quietly focused let Freddie and Manny look ahead to Floyd as much as possible and focus on his technique, hand speed and fitness.

On the context of actual fights, yes I could agree with you that JMM has harder fights. But prior to fights with DLH and HATTON, the general consensus is Pac is taking more risk going up and down the divisions. IMO, whatever excuses dlh/hatton had, the one-sided nature of Pac fights leads people to believe that those were easy fights.

Even though I picked Oscar De La Hoya to whip Manny's ass, I realize he was a dead man when he got in the ring. I didn't take into consideration of how a powder puff puncher in Steve Forbes was able to mess up his cheek bone and I underestimated how much the weight loss would affect him. Pacquiao went in there and took care of business nontheless, but with Roach's arrogant comments about the state of Oscar's condition it takes a lot of shine out of that victory. I knew the Hatton fight was a total sham before it even started. All that aside, my point is that JMM deserves to eat too, not just Pacquiao. I'm happy that he is getting this shot at Mayweather.
