I hear you. It's a close one either way IMO, but I'd just lean towards Oscar

Mostly based on his showing against Mayweather himself. I agree with you that Floyd won slightly more clearly than some would have you believe but I saw enough in Oscar to come to the conclusion that he could push Floyd to the limit were he at his peak. That jab is really disruptive to Mayweather's rhythm, and I think Oscar would get the better of Floyd when he fights in the pocket or off the ropes

And as JmH Reborn pointed out, De La Hoya had the ability to snatch the closing rounds by wide margins when he needed it, and one or two rounds could make all the difference in a fight like this

Thanks, that is all I was trying to convey. Oscar had something a bit special to dig deep and pull out the wins when he needed to.

They could beat Cotto, Clottey, Margarito, and so on because they are not special fighters but they still wouldnt beat a Mayweather or a Williams. Dont act like these guys were in a class of there own. Oscar had a few gifts before that fight and Mosley got destroyed by Forrest not long after this fight so lets no overrate them and make them out to be some WW monsters that they never were
