Miguel Cotto is "Not Impressed By Manny Pacquiao"

Roach is going to expose Cotto's weakness and best of believe Manny will elaborate on his instructions. Cotto should get Manny Steward or something for this bout. Like seriously. Cotto needs to protect himself from uppercuts. Its getting real scary, me being a great Cotto fan, to watch him fight and getting tagged like that.

I hope he can do something about it.

A fight of my two favorites.. Never wanted this fight to happen, but I guess it was taken more serious than expected. I just hope both fighters come in healthy and leave the same way giving us a great fight and great performance on behalf of both fighters.

Agree with you, he need a good trainer that help him avoid those upper, he gets hit a lot with tose on every fight.

I don't hate this fight, but I'm not particularly fond of it either. In my opinion, neither Mosley or Cotto deserve a fight with Pacquiao. Mosley has sat on the shelf and not capitalized off that win over Margarito and Cotto took a lot of punishment against Clottey, and barely won. Mayweather up to this point doesn't even deserve a fight with Manny either, because he has not fought any top guys at 147 at all. What I want to see is a Cotto-Mosley rematch and Pacquiao fight Humberto Soto if Soto can make 140. He wouldn't be my first choice for Pacquiao if Bradley, Campell, or Ortiz were tied up. But his schedule is free and he deserves the shot.

I know I may be a hard boxing fan to please. But I have more respect for fighters who have the fight all comers attitude. I put more stock in cleaning out divisions than just chasing names for money fights. The fighters who are willing to do that are far and few in between. Nate Campell and Glen Johnson are the only guys I can think of.

I think he really just meant that he's not over-awed by Pacquiao, and that he hasn't seen anything that makes him think he can't win.

Soto isn't a Jnr Welterweight! Fighting him isn't cleaning out his division. From that point of view the Bradley-Campbell winner is the obvious fight. Cotto is regarded by most as a much more high risk fight for him though. But in any case, Pac did clean out Super Featherweight and Featherweight when he was at those weights, against superb opposition.

Cotto should worry about PAC's speed and power, specially with the healing process of the cut. Say wanna you wanna say about the matchup, but as long as PAC beats Cotto to the punch, Pacquiao is winning this fight. If Clottey landed his right punch accurately at will, Cotto better improve his defense as he prepares for Manny.

I would say worry about the SPEED but not the POWER. One punch KO @ the right spot can KO anybody, doesnt mean that they have the POWER you swear for them to have.

I had been saying that PAC is a bad matchup for Cotto since last year. Nothing new. Cotto takes too much damage. Nothing new.

Cotto can't fight his usual style and expect to easily beat Pacquiao. If Cotto can't beat Pac to the punch, Miguelito is going to have a long night to regret. It's basic simple common fighting sense we all learned since primary school fights... "he who lands first, lands twice."

Whomever believes that Cotto will be able to land his punches first agaisnt Manny, is not a REAL COTTO FAN, just a nuthugger.
