i dont think pac will fight cotto or mosley at 147. especially mosley. he spent a good portion of his career at 154. if cotto drops below 145 he's in trouble. mosley dont giv a **** what the weight is cause he wants the money

All the deals by promoters and broadcasters make it tough enough to secure exciting, competitive fights. i.e. the best fighting the best. Catch weights further destroy chances of getting the fights fans want (one more negotiating point to screw things up).
I also want to see same-evening weigh-ins. Every athlete would then have to fight at his natural weight (or very, very close to it). This might mean Pac would never fight Cotto. No loss. Cotto can fight PWill. Pac can fight Ortiz.
While I'm at it, I really miss 15 round championship fights.

Wow this thread is really making Pacman look like a Pu$$y or something. Let I remind you that Pacquiao's last 4 fights within 14 months were all in different weight classes(none of them were in catch weights).
Juan Manuel Marquez 3-15-08 Jr. Lightweight
David Diaz 6-28-08 Lightweight
Oscar De La Hoya 12-06-08 Welterweight
Ricky Hatton 5-2-09 Jr. Welterweight
So if he wants his next fight at a catch weight where he is comfortable in (ala 142-143) why can't he get his way one time.

If pac fights cotto at 147 lbs, pac will get destroyed. cotto will be about 10+ lbs heavier than pac on fight night.
asking pac to fight cotto at 147 lbs is suicide.

This is just like calling out a pitcher in baseball, but hey, you can only throw fastballs, no curve ball.
Or pick on somebody and then hide behind your big brother when that somebody is coming back at you.
No disrespect to Pacman because he is IMO the p4p best right now and if the fight is agree he has all the right to probably calim 55/45 or even 60/40. But if he calls somebody out, fight that somebody as is, not as you want him.
