I'm a huge Hatton fan, he is probably my favorite fighter and I've been to 5 of his fights live - but ANYONE who tries to discredit Pacman's victory over him is a ****ing idiot. Pacquiao completely dominated Ricky in a way no one ever has, made him look like an amatuer, and knocked him cold.

Pacquiao and Freddie Roach deserve all credit for that fight. Stop making excuses.

haha every time i read your responses i can hear chappelles voice from the player haters ball. Although I do feel that this article did over rate hatton as a boxer I also feel that it was noticeable that ricky was not in his best conditioning for the manny fight. Not making an excuse perhaps at his best manny could still beat him but it would have been a much longer fight. He didn't look as cut up or as strong as he normally does. Can you people honestly say that pac is that much more powerful than any fighter ricky has fought with his get hit to hit style. Manny is known for his killer speed not really for killer power. All respects to manny though.

Give What is due to Pacman

Many belittle the win of Manny against david diaz, Oscar Dela Hoya, and Even Hatton, Many excuses have been made that reason why those fighters lose to manny was because diaz is a paper champion,Oscar was weight drained, now Hatton, not in the best condition....Well what else, and who else you want for Manny to earn ur respect.....Manny Pacquaio The Greatest Boxer of All Time.......

                Excuses?

Billy graham is sour graping when he says hatton will not win and now that hatton should retire..boxing fans are tired with these excuses from the losers.hatton accept his defeat and the handlers/coaches,trainers and supporters (some)still cannot accept the reality.billy graham should have helped hatton forget his defeats and rise again..pacman lose by k.o. Before but rise up to become one of the greatest boxing champion.pacman can stay a champion until he replace roach by ugly floyd sr..ugly floyd will put a ton of lies in his head and speak as he is the best trainer in the world...that is why hatton loss...over confidence and believe what ugly sr. Told him...

What PACQUIAO haters fail to see is that PACQUIAO is just an amazing athlete, no fighter trains as hard as him, thats why all this guys that lost to them look like past their prime. MAYWEATHER who skills are second to none, but seems to bore the **** out of a mute, has beaten so many fighters, but all these fighters come back to win other fights. Where PACQUIAO who is an amazing athlete, whos heart, determination, dedication is second to none, comes to fight, give the people an exciting fight, and lays the smackdown, turns these fighters to look past their prime and contemplate on retirement. That too me is an accomplishment by an all time great. To beat someone down so bad, that they are mentally screwed up and think about retirement. Of all the fighters PACQUIAO beat, I respect David Diaz the most, its because the guy tells the truth. All these other fighters, just come up with ***** ass excuses. This guy Billy Graham is a tool, if he was training Hatton, PACQUIAO would probably KO him in the first minute of the 1st round. Mayweather says that many have tried and many have failed, in my book its debateable that he lost the first fight with Jose Luis Castillo. Pacquiao on the other hand, many have predicted against him and many have failed. With that said, when MAYWEATHER/ PACQUIAO does happen only one thing can happen. That MAYWEATHER too will look past his prime and think about retiring again.
Anyone that knows boxing will tell you styles make fights. Floyd is probably one of the best boxer's of all time. Notice I didn't say fighter I said boxers. There is a difference. Boxing have been dominated by fighters over the last few years. Most of you do not know the difference anymore. Manny is a GREAT fighter that can box. Floyd is a GREAT boxer that can fight. Usually when match ups of these sorts come together, the great boxer will prevail. You guys talk about how boring Floyd is to watch. That is because you're fight fans. Any fan of boxing will differ in his opinion. I promise you if you ever box for more than exercise you'd agree with me and come to appreciate his talents. Especially if you're in the ring with someone that has more physical abilities such as size and strength. I used to hate Calzahge until I realized the man is a boxer and a damn good one. Sugar Ray leonard was a great boxer. Ali of course was perhaps the greatest BOXER of all time. Until most of you understand the difference, you will never appreciate the sweet science of boxing.

Cotto would destroy him. Cotto also beats Clottey. Hopefully we get Mayweather and Cotto.

Lets see Hatton and Zab Judah fight. I think its perfect. A good solid "come back" fight for both. Judah is a solid name and it could take place in Hattons home town. I think it would be a great match up that would sell.

The point is not their style of fighting but who is worth watching and more dominating over their opponents:

                      1. dlh was bitten by floyd via split decision while manny took only 8rnds of brutal assault and made DLH looked slow because of his speed till he quit from his stool.

                      2. it took 10rnds for floyd to ko hatton, a competitive fight for hatton before being ko'ed and a fight where hatton was not fighting in his natural division. Manny brutally beat down and ko'ed hatton outcold in just 2rnds in a lopsided match and in hatton' natural wieght division where hatton was undefeated.

                      3. who made it big and succesful who started from 106-147lbs? ali? leonard? robinson? mayweather? calzaghe?

                      4. who is exciting to watch and who is boring?
                      5. who talks so much that says and claim he's the best, and who is the silent one who never claim his greatness by words but by showing it each and every of his fight in an emphatic fashion that is not boring to watch?
6 who is the greatest boxer in THE WORLD? and who is the greatest boxer in WORDS?

                      answers: i don't know lol
