people wanna act like ricky is some humble down to earth guy who was very respectful of manny's skill.

-manny is not a versatile fighter
-he doesnt have a good defense
-the oscar win flattered him too much. i couldve beaten oscar & DAVID DIAZ quicker
-manny cant fight backing up
-im bigger & more powerful than manny
-im the most ferocious fighter manny has ever seen
-im just as fast as manny
-my boxing skills are better
-im in the best shape of my life
-nobody can beat me at 140
-im gonna take manny's p4p title

I saw that kostya tszyu fight. Ricky was getting tagged left & right. Kostya was very very game that night.


That was a 35 year old kostya going on 36 vs a prime young hatton. imagine what a prime kostya would have done.


Ricky is a good fighter. nothing more, nothing less.

Pacquiao - ATG fighter
Tsyzu - very good fighter
hatton - good fighter
khan - overrated contender
katsidis - gatekeeper


There are differences.

What a prime KT like the one that fought Vince Phillips ,,, Ricky had the style to beat KT although I agree he was past his best his best would have still got beat that night because KT was not a strong fighter and was planted all the time , once you got past his right hand you gave him heaps of problems, like Phillips Hatton , Hector Lopez was the first to show the big flaws in KT .

You say he was very very game that night , was that before he quit ?

KT was not beat down he was very tired and frustrated and roughed up more mentally than physically and he quit to that , people and animals quit for 2 reasons exhaustion which is the prime reason most of the time and severe punishment while loosing , which will make them quit sooner , KT was 85% tired and 15% beat down and quit .
