Antonio Margarito would have been much better off telling the California commission to screw off, show the fans and other fighters exactly what happened and where the misunderstanding occurred or where he was set-up, and try to get more fights in another state. He should answer every question and set up interviews with press.

I've been advocating he do this from day one. Do a 1 hr. interview w/ 60 minutes or Larry Merchant and explain yourself to the people. But apparently he's taking another route.

the only one that hand to do research is you ***? it's quite pathetic that you defend a guy whose trainer already confessed that he cheated "by mistake"

Now Margarito's launching a suit against the CSAC. So he's by no means staying quiet.
I think the fact that the wrong pads were used is technically illegal, but its more of an infraction than something as serious as originally thought. Plaster and some old knuckle pads are two hugely different animals.
Consedering that a doctor was there, he did say, these are just like the wraps we use to make casts.

According to Judd Burstein, the attorney for Mosley, Margarito had wet pads in the wrapping. Mosley's doctor, Robert Olvera, likened the material to the type of plaster used to make casts.

"It gets hard and mobile," said Olvera, who said he scratched the pad and "flakes of plaster of Paris" came off.

I know it was Mosleys doctor but I don't think any of these people would be cruel enough to lie about what they saw or felt. Those bricks did not belong their in the first place. We have heard many times in the past that fighters have had to re-wrap and re-tape their hands for various reasons and this is the first time I have ever read about some one stuffing bricks with plaster inside but I am sure it has been done before, the only two other cases were Resto and LaMotta.

I would take "trace amounts" to mean that hardly any plaster was on them.
trace amounts dont make a solid block of plaster that will do any damage.

that's what i'm saying. trace elements of plaster + cotton = piece of gauze that's as hard as plaster

trace amounts + water + gauze (cotton/latex) = substance as hard as pure plaster

go to a pharmacy and do the experiment
