    Pacquiao's power = Overrated!

Pac lands everything but the kitchen sink, yet Larios makes it to the 12th round. Pac gets hurt by his right hand as well. Larios moved up in weight, first fight at 130.

Larios getting picked apart with precision and KTFO cold with a single straight right hand down the middle.

Here we see David Diaz getting grilled with a single shot... He gets KTFO in the 8th round.

Pac hitting Diaz with every shot in the book, yet it has no effect on Diaz until he finally gets stopped from the accumulation. If he had any defense or movement at all he would have lasted the the 12th round easily. Diaz was able to pin Pacquiao against the ropes on several occasions... but he has no skills at all so he didn't know what to do.

Barrera getting hit with everything with full force by Pacquiao. He seems confused, but never hurt at all, period.

Barrera getting KTFO by a single counter-punch.

I see no problem at all with Hatton being able to take Pacquiao's punches. His clinch will neutralize Pac's workrate, his power, stamina, and pressure will force Pac to make mistakes. Who can take who's punches better is what this fight is going to come down to. I see Hatton taking Pac's punches on the front foot better than Pac takes Hatton's punches on the back foot any day of the week, and Pac will be fighting on his back-foot. As the great Joe Louis once said, "You can run, but you can't hide". So what will Pac do when he can't hide? He's no Ali or Mayweather, he's not even an elite at all when it comes to counters. That's just the way I see it.

Pac ain't a 1 punch killer, but he'll finish Hatton via accumulation imo.

thats my worry for Hatton. don't think Manny will have that one killer punch but those combo's is what will have Ricky in trouble durin the fight.

True but Kendell Holt has one punch power against anyone he fights, ask Torres and Bradley. I think it is the accumulation that always wins it for Pacman, not the power. He did drop Marquez with a single shot three times in one rd. He has to have some power at least but I agree that Hatton will be able to handle it pretty well. I just think his face will swell too much and he won't be able to see or he will get cut and the fight will get stopped.

I would say its more untested at this weight then overrated...

but like mangler said, if hatton is going to get knocked out it will be by accumulation of punches...not a single blow.

Pac's work-rate will be cut in half due to Hatton's lead left hook and clinch tactic. (similar to Hopkins lead right hand - clinch style against Calzaghe) Plus, he's fighting in a higher weight division so his power will be even more tame.

If Hatton is able to clinch the "elusive" Pacquiao, It will take Pac 20+ rounds to stop Hatton on accumulation... but he's only got 12, so I don't see it happening.

Pacquiao hits pretty hard, but not one of those "he's gonna knock you out cold or dramatically change the fight with one punch" type of guys.

His speed and accuracy mostly do the damage. Also, his best punch is the straight left, which often, the opponent can see coming. But even if you see it coming, if you can't get away from it, and he keeps hitting you with it, the damage will build up. Barrera got hit with like 4,245 straight lefts in the first fight.
