multiple punches can kill you slowly without noticing it and more brutal and a very entertaining for the viewers. hugging, running and wrestling inside the ring will never make you a good boxer , and not entertaining to watch.

its worst to get pummeled by heavy hands repeatedly than just to get discombobulated with one punch... or thats what some say

Hey thread starter, you should make a thread on how the fighters Tyson, Shavers, Foreman, Jackson they didn't KO and say their power is overrated, pretty simple to do, ya know?

Accumulation punchers like Pacquiao will be ineffective due to their punches being smothered, or not being able to let their hands go from the clinch. (Bhop over Calzaghe) He doesn't have enough power in the few punches he will land (compared to his usual work-rate) so Hatton will not be fazed at all.
well that's what we have to find out come may 2nd.
is hatton gonna try to outbox manny?
if he cant will he hit and hold again?
if he does will manny allow him to do it?
            etc etc...
they all have their gameplans dude.
            but execution is what's important.
we just have to wait and see

Those punches begin to feel like sledgehammers as the body is already worn down. I don't think too many people here thought Manny had 1 punch KO power since he hasn't had a 1 punch KO since what? Emmanuel Lucero back at 122lbs?
              co-sign.

pac's fighting style isn't about planting your feet then punching with all your might like there's no tomorrow.he throw's 3-4 punches then darts out.
nobody can maintain pac's handspeed and workrate for 12 full rounds and have
KO power in all of your punches.that's just plain impossible.

I'm going to be honest; I don't see Pacquiao hurting Hatton. But that's different than saying Pacquiao's power is overrated. His power comes from two places. First, speed. Second, the fact that he's usually bigger than his opponent.

No I don't think that he's a huge one punch puncher like some people think that he is. And I don't even think he would KO Hatton, like many people think that he will, but he's a good solid puncher with a lot of speed. So, you never know.

He is no Edwin Valero. He relies on applying pressure, and overwhelming his opponent with a volume of punches.

                      wow.

a guy who had one punch ko power at flyweight has less punching power the higher he moves up in weight?!?!?!?!?

                      crazy!

pacquiao is still punching the same and probably has increased power than he did at the lower weights. the difference is he is now hitting bigger and bigger fighters which can take stronger punches.

some guys know nothing about boxing......
